A mischievous dog with a feline-like flair for destruction has gained viral attention after wreaking havoc on his owner's living room, leaving viewers on TikTok both shocked and amused.

The video, posted on December 5 by Eliza Sheldon under @elizasheldon_, showcases the vizsla lounging proudly amid the chaos, acting as if nothing unusual has happened. The short clip has been viewed more than 1.2 million times to date, sparking amused comments from viewers.

The clip, which has amassed thousands of views and comments, shows the aftermath of the dog's solo adventure at home. The exterior of a couch has been clawed and squashed, having borne the brunt of the canine's antics.

An overlaid text on the video read: "If you see my house and wonder why the couch is ruined. It's not from my toddler, it's from my huge dog that thinks he's a cat."

"This is his spot and you cannot convince him otherwise," Sheldon added in the caption. Newsweek reached out to @elizasheldon_ for more information via TikTok.

TikTok users flocked to the comments section with witty reactions. Some have shared their own similar experiences as pet owners.

"That's some professional cushin squishin' [cushion squishing] there, that's all," one viewer said.

Another added: "Our Yogi did this, but only when the couch was in front of a window. We got new furniture about four years ago and I refused to put it in front of a window so he wouldn't 'ruin' it …"

"I'm so glad I'm not the only one with a dog that thinks he's a cat," a third viewer said.

Another added: "He's on duty. That's like his guard tower. He deserves a bonus and a pup cup."

The Hungarian vizsla, also known simply as the vizsla, is an affectionate breed renowned for its sleek, rust-colored coat and athletic build.

Known for their intelligence and trainability, vizslas require ample exercise and mental stimulation to thrive, and tend to display destructive habits if bored at home. They form strong bonds with their families and are often described as loyal and loving companions.

With a friendly and gentle temperament, the vizsla is well suited to lively households and enjoys participating in various dog sports and outdoor activities.
