Dwyane Wade threw a James Bond-themed invite-only epic party at Queen Miami Beach on October 26 — appropriately called “003 Statues Are Forever” party — to unveil his statue, which will now live forever outside of the arena he won three championships in.
In true James Bond fashion, the three-time NBA champion arrived at the Queen Miami Beach in an Aston Martin DBX707, accompanied by his Bond Girl, Gabrielle Union-Wade. The glamorous couple were dressed in black tie by FWRD and the night featured extravagant food and drinks by Don Julio 1942 and Champagne Armand de Brignac.
As guests transitioned from the cocktail hour to the main room, they were dazzled by aerialists and dancers performing various James Bond movie themes.
Dwyane made his grand entrance as the James Bond theme song played in the background. As he walked towards the center stage, the crowd screamed in excitement. Wade raised a glass of champagne and said to the crowd, “This is the beginning of a ‘statues are forever’ weekend. What we’re about to embark on is something we’ve never experienced before. If you’ve got a glass, raise it.”
The highlight of the evening was a performance inspired by one of the 003-themed movie posters, From Miami With Love. The performance kicked off with rapper Trina performing “Pull Over,” followed by JT Money’s “Who Dat.” Ball Greezy then took the stage, performing multiple songs. Miami legend Uncle Luke then energized the crowd with several of his hits. The performance concluded with DJ Khaled, who put on a show featuring “All I Do Is Win,” “All the Way Up,” and “I’m the One,” while Dwyane and Gabrielle joined him on stage.
Notable guests included: Dwyane Wade’s family, former Miami Heat teammates Udonis and Faith Haslem, Alonzo Mourning, Norris Cole, Dorrell and Mia Wright, Heat GM Andy Elisburg, businessman Wayne Boich, television personality Rocsi Diaz, stylist Jason Bolden and more.
