EastEnders fans make same demand to BBC bosses over drunk character

EastEnders fans are going wild for Kathy Beale after she got tipsy in Wednesday's (November 27) episode of the BBC soap.

The show began with the dramatic aftermath of Kojo Asare's (Dayo Koleosho) accident, with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) rushing to call an ambulance as Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) appeared on the scene.

Meanwhile, at The Queen Vic, the wedding reception for Elaine (Harriett Thorpe) and George (Colin Salmon) was in full swing with the locals having a great time.

Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) was letting loose with Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), Denise Fox (Diane Parish), and her sister Kim (Tameka Epson) as they sipped their drinks and discussed Cindy's "evil" ways.

As the night wore on, the four women decided it was time to party, downing drinks and dancing in their seats. Kathy started teasing Denise, who was standing next to her ex-husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen), and even made a cheeky comment about her own ex-husband Peter Beale, reports the Manchester Evening News.

When the news of Kojo's accident reached the pub, Kathy urged Linda to put the music back on and showed off her best disco moves. In another hilarious scene, a drunken Kathy called her son Ian (Adam Woodyatt) a "weasel" before stumbling around her café, trying to make a bacon sandwich.

Kathy's boozy shenanigans have left fans of EastEnders absolutely desperate for more, with one viewer taking to X and exclaiming: "Obsessed with drunk Kathy #EastEnders."

Another fan was chuffed by her antics, tweeting: "Drunk Kathy #Eastenders love it", while someone else joined the chorus saying: "I need more drunk Kathy please #EastEnders."

There were calls for a regular appearance with a tweet demanding: "Need drunk Kathy every episode #EastEnders". Meanwhile, another telly watcher enthused: "I do love a drunk Kathy. She's hilarious. Makes a nice change from Linda #EastEnders."

The amusing scenes also spotted a comment from a fan who pointed out: "Obsessed with drunk Kathy and Linda trying to persuade Denise to dance". Another simply couldn't contain themselves, pleading: "More drunk Kathy please! #EastEnders."
