Ella Emhoff’s Mom Shut Down This Online Rumor About Ella’s Whereabouts Post-election

Many were heartbroken about Kamala Harris losing the 2024 Presidential Election to Donald Trump, including her stepchildren, Ella Emhoff and Cole Emhoff. However, like the internet always does, rumors started to swirl about Ella’s whereabouts post-election, and her mom, Kerstin Emhoff, was quick to shut it all down.

In case you missed it, rumors swirled, claiming that Ella had a mental breakdown after the election and checked into an in-patient mental health crisis center in NY. However, Kerstin immediately put a stop to it all, slamming those rumors.

On Nov 9, Kerstin replied to the viral claim, saying, “More MAGA bs against my family. Leave my kids alone!!! Ella is doing great and spending a lovely day with her mom! Having the ability to show your emotions is something we should all hope for. It’s ok to not feel great right now. We aren’t letting anyone break our family down.”

And soon after, Ella herself shut down those rumors on her Instagram story, per Newsweek.

“There’s a rumor about me having a mental breakdown and getting checked into a hospital. Not true. Also f*** you if you’re out there spreading that. There’s nothing wrong with showing emotion and crying. Anyone who says there is, probably needs a good cry. I’ve struggled with my mental health my whole life and I’m not ashamed of it,” she said. “I’ve literally just been playing fetch with Jerry.”

Everyone’s mental health journey is different, and should never be shamed, nor should anyone make up lies about one’s journey. We’re happy both Ella and Kerstin were quick to shut down this rumor and show how strong they are as a family.
