This Halloween, Emily Ratajkowski paid homage to an unforgettable fashion moment by recreating Jennifer Lopez's iconic Versace look from the 2000 Grammy Awards.
The 33-year-old model shared photos of herself in a plunging, leaf-print dress reminiscent of the one Lopez famously wore on the red carpet alongside Sean "Diddy" Combs.
Captioned "no limits, all dreams," Ratajkowski's Instagram post showcased her take on the striking ensemble, complete with drop earrings.
She also shared a TikTok video, lip-syncing to a well-known Lopez quote about her wild and fearless youth from the Bronx.
The viral outfit
Lopez has reflected on that now-legendary dress, famously closing a 2019 Milan Fashion Week show in a similar version.
The original gown, which sparked a viral moment, was first seen on the runway in 1999 on model Amber Valletta, who later remarked on its status as one of the most-searched fashion looks ever.
"It was just one of those perfect moments," Lopez said.
"The dress was just provocative enough to make people interested. That was a moment that captured people's imaginations, I think. In terms of my career, this dress really marked a moment in time.
"Even if you don't know my music and you don't know my movies, people know about that moment and that dress. That was it."
While Ratajkowski wore her version of the dress for photos, she later switched to a cozy red onesie and Vans to join friends like Ziwe and Irina Shayk for the night's festivities.
Known for her creative Halloween costumes, Ratajkowski has previously dressed as characters such as Lisa Simpson, a pregnant Demi Moore, and a cavewoman.
