Horror fans have been raving about a six-episode Thai Netflix series called Don’t Come Home, which boasts an impressive 7.3 rating on IMDb.

The spooky series focuses on a mother and her young daughter who move into their family’s old abandoned mansion.

The pair soon find themselves haunted by paranormal incidents, and the mom must confront dark secrets from the past when her daughter mysteriously vanishes.

Viewers have been spreading the word about the show in the Facebook group Netflix Bangers. One person shared the poster for the series with the caption: "Just finished watching the series. It's mind-blowing! To give you a hint about how twisted it is, every episode in the first three feels like it's dragging the series into a completely new genre.

"This is by far one of the best series on Netflix in 2024. MUST WATCH."

Commenting on the post, one person wrote: "I liked this one so many twists."

"Ok you've convinced meee," another said.

Despite the praise, some fans were left confused about the ending.

"I just watched Don’t Come Home… this show gave off Haunting of Hill House vibes but I'm a bit confused with the ending," one viewer tweeted.

Don’t Come Home’s final episode ends with a twist. But beware, there are spoilers ahead.

As viewers will recall, the mom, Varee, and her daughter, Min, become stuck in a time loop.

The old mansion is owned by Varee’s mother, Panida, and the unexpected ending reveals that Varee and Min are actually the same person.

Panida had been working on a time machine. However, her struggles to bring it to fruition led to a bunch of anomalies throughout the old house. This included a portal in the closet of Min’s room.

When Min was approached by a ghostly figure, and the furniture began to float, she escaped into her closet. She ended up falling through an anomaly and was whisked away to the 1990s, which doesn’t actually sound too bad of an outcome.

It was here Min met Panida. The matriarch had become focused on finding a time travel solution to reunite with her daughter Varee again after she died in a car accident, along with her own husband.

Panida began to raise Min, but problems arose when Varee fell through the anomaly to the past and encountered her mother and daughter.

Panida was on the fence about Varee’s claim of being her daughter and resented her attempts to take Min back with her. So Panida trapped Varee within the time machine.

Varee was able to escape, but she ended up in a fight with Panida which led to Varee’s death. She lived on as a spirit who was left searching for her lost daughter.

Panida, meanwhile, took Min to Bangkok and raised her with the name Varee. Years later, Min (now known as Varee) found herself caught in an abusive marriage and had a daughter called Min. The pair would be forced to flee their home and move into the old family mansion, which is where the show began.

There have been a bunch of positive reactions to the ending, with one fan on X writing: "Just finished watching #DontComeHome on Netflix — damn! The plot is so #DARK-coded but shorter & more interesting, The ending really captures ‘what a woman goes through in her life’. Anyway, it’s a must-watch & please Don't Come Home."

Another viewer said: "Watched Don't Come Home on Netflix and the ending made me bawl my eyes out."
