Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel Strawbridge share huge baby news that delights fans

Dick Strawbridge and wife Angel Adoree, who are currently on a tour of the UK, have revealed they are "totally invested" in adorable great niece Heidi.

In fact, the Escape to the Chateau couple seem as excited as if she was their own, after sharing the news of her arrival with fans. The former Channel 4 stars, who have received a whopping 250,000 fan emails since sharing their chateau renovation journey with the world, have now met her in person.

They shared the delight that they and their young daughter Dorothy in particular are feeling in an episode of podcast Dick and Angel's Chat... Eau. "She's a beautiful little baby girl," Dick enthused.

Angel chimed in: "We've been really invested and probably no one more so than our little Dorothy!" Their daughter has seen Heidi and her mum Sarah, who is a skilled gymnast, "most days" via online conversations.

Reminiscing over their chats in the lead-up to the birth, Angel explained the very unusual way they were updated on the baby's progress. "They did this lovely little thing. Sarah had a piece of laminated paper that said every week what the baby was. It was like, 'It's the size of a walnut,'" she exclaimed.

"They've had a million conversations: 'Now it's the size of an orange, now it's a watermelon, now it's the size of an avocado.' That kind of thing," Angel continued.

The pair could scarcely hold back their laughter as Dick joked: "Not in that order, wow!"

"Dorothy could not wait to meet Heidi. We were all excited, Arthur as well, but I mean Dorothy was literally like, 'Are we there yet? Are we there yet?'" Angel added.

Meanwhile, the pair also discussed their little girl's surprising talent on the podcast - something which she already excels at despite being just ten years old.

"Dorothy started catching the biggest fish the first time she got given a princess fishing rod from Disney," Angel explained.

"It was about three foot tall, it was bright pink with princesses on it and she got herself a seven-pound carp - it was ridiculous, wasn't it?" she asked her husband.

Dorothy, along with her brother Arthur, have been getting on stage with their parents every night during their Angel and Dick: Forever Home tour dates across the UK - and they've been an instant hit with fans.

Their strict parents typically sent them to bed half-way through each show to ensure they keep up with their routines - but they are already developing unique stage personalities of their own, much to their mum and dad's delights.
