Fans question Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo's relationship timelines as infidelity rumors swirl

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo have been caught up in a bit of a storm as fans are beginning to question their respective relationship timelines.

The pair ended their respective relationships while filming the hit film 'Wicked'.Grande began dating co-star Ethan Slater after they met on set in 2022 when both were married, while Erivo and Lena Waithe's relationship began shortly after Lena's divorce.

Reports suggest producers were worried about Erivo's relationship, to the point that they asked the couple to "disappear for six months" in hopes of avoiding backlash.

Waithe secretly tied the knot with Alana Mayo in 2019, though the pair split in 2020 and divorced a year later amidst cheating rumors.

The pair never addressed what led to the split, though speculation was that Lena had cheated on Alana with Cynthia.

Fans question Grande's relationship timeline

As for Grande, her relationship with Slater came to light just days after she announced her split from husband Dalton Gomez after two years of marriage.

Although reports suggested that Grande and Gomez split in January of that year, not everyone was sold on the dates of how everything played out.

That's because in May 2023 Grande took to Instagram to celebrate her two-year wedding anniversary with Gomez, posting a picture of the two kissing in California with the caption "2", as well as a heart and "3.5 years together."

After that Ethan's then wife, Lilly Jay, wished her husband a happy birthday on June 1, a month before Ariana and Ethan announced their relationship.

"But we are supposed to believe there is no cheating," one fan wrote on X.

Another wrote: "Here's Ariana's story. This woman seriously thought she fooled everyone by saying, 'We separated in February 2023' meanwhile she was saying to him 'I love you' in May 15."

Another fan added: "Yeah, the timeline is pretty sketchy. This timeline is messier than their excuses."

An insider later stated that Ariana and Ethan were open about their relationship while filming, with most of the "Wicked" cast aware of their relationship, despite their public claims that wasn't the case.

"They were sloppy on set," the insider stated. "They were seen being all over each other.

"They were seen making out at a pub in Hampstead, and they were all over each other at Michelle Yeoh's Oscar party [in March]."
