Fox News host Greg Gutfeld bizarrely jokes that John Krasinski is trans after he’s dubbed People’s sexiest man alive

In a head-scratching moment on television, Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld attempted a peculiar “joke” about actor John Krasinski‘s gender identity after learning about his recent People magazine honor.

While hosting The Five, Gutfeld mentioned Krasinski's new title as sexiest man alive, before making an unexpected claim about The Office star's gender identity.

“I think it's great that People has announced that a trans, uh, male can be the sexiest one alive,” Gutfeld said. “Krasinski never talks about it but he's, you know, he's trans. You know that?”

His fellow host Jesse Watters, who's had his own share of controversial moments, appeared puzzled by the comment and mentioned he “didn't know” about this claim, but Gutfeld kept pushing the narrative.

“Yes, he's trans,” Gutfeld insisted, before describing the title as “redundant” and trying to land another joke with: “I'm assuming ‘alive' is a given.”

While it's true that some social media users expressed surprise at People's selection, suggesting stars like Jonathan Bailey or Paul Mescal might have been better choices, this isn't Gutfeld's first eyebrow-raising TV moment.

Just months ago, he sparked controversy by declaring that protecting LGBTQ+ youth from being outed to their parents was the “most amoral act since slavery,” continuing with: “We're watching right now the sexual exploitation of children and they're using… this lie of privacy. They're actually coming for kids… they say it's an attack on children's privacy by parents. That's not real.”

He further stirred the pot by claiming LGBTQ+ activists were attempting to discuss sexuality with children without parental consent.

“In the old days, if someone talked to your kid like that, you'd be in jail or dead. There is no privacy separation between parents and children, and you should fight to the death on that one,” he said.
