Gizelle Bryant Says She Misses Karen Huger’s ‘Drunk Calls’ After DUI Arrest

Since her DUI arrest earlier this year, Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger no longer makes “drunk calls” to her costar Gizelle Bryant.

“I actually miss them,” Gizelle jokes, adding that such calls were “a lot of fun.”

“She hasn’t done it in a while,” the mom of three says.

Karen Huger allegedly makes “a lot of three o’clock in the morning drunk calls”

RHOP Season 9 premiered on October 6, with Gizelle checking in on her longtime friend. In early March, Karen was charged with driving under the influence after crashing her Maserati only three miles from home.

Though Karen hasn’t offered many details of her accident, the Grand Dame of Potomac has a long history of drunk-dialing. “Friend of” the cast Jacqueline Blake claims Karen’s drunk calls continued even after her DUI.

“We get a lot of three o’clock in the morning drunk calls from Karen,” Gizelle told Page Six. “You never know what you’re going to hear; you never know what she’s going to say.”

In the October 27 episode of RHOP, Mia Thornton claimed Karen “butt dialed” her after a night out in D.C. Mia suggested Karen was cheating on her husband, Ray Huger, since she could hear another man’s voice on the call.

“That’s for Karen to explain,” Gizelle said. The Green-Eyed Bandit had left the room before Mia shared the story with the rest of the cast. She does feel Karen’s alleged romance with her “driver,” known to the group as “Blue Eyes,” is in the rearview.

“I think we’ve moved past Blue Eyes,” the My Word author said.

She added that Ray had been a rock of support for Karen in the wake of her legal issues. “Ray is always extremely supportive of her,” she continued. “I’m happy she has him.”

In July, per People, Karen asked a judge to dismiss her DUI case, but prosecutors opposed the motion. The issue has yet to be ruled on by the judge.

The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
