Narinder Kaur addresses her comments about Kate Middleton

Royal watchers were left reeling after comments about Queen Camilla were posted on social media by a controversial figure who's featured on ITV's Good Morning Britain.

Amid calls for pundit and reality star Narinder Kaur to be pulled from presenting gigs on TV, including GB News, she didn't hold back when discussing the Queen's recent news. The ex-Big Brother housemate didn't agree with the Royal Family's latest move.

Her Majesty was given an Honorary Doctorate of Literature by the University of London, whose Chancellor is her sister-in-law, Princess Anne, Princess Royal.

This move hasn't gone down well with Narinder, who recently came under fire for her comments about Princess Catherine. Taking to X, formally known as Twitter, she penned a scathing note to her followers, calling the award "disgustingly shameless".

"Say nothing Narinder Say nothing Narinder," she wrote. "I have to - Oh, DO P**S OFF giving each other little awards- its disgustingly shameless, spectacularly self indulgent and makes everyone involved look like t**ts. Aaannnd breath."

At first, it appeared some of her fans agreed, with @wardy2104 writing: "It's absolutely ridiculous, giving her a special educational honour.. Are they for real? WTF... What about teachers who read day in day out, do they get this award too?"

As she replied on her @narindertweets account, "It's wrong. Full stop. This country is on its knees... and this lot carry taking the absolute P**S." But not everyone had the same stance, with most fighting back on her comments.

User @PaulBegg8 replied: "You always have to say something, even if you have really no idea why. Research dear… that means look into the matter in detail, and no Narinder it takes longer than 5 mins.

"When it comes down to reading and literature, HM knows more than most and has done more to get people reading than most. She has value, you my dear can only dream of having any value, ever," they continued.

@deecelt said: "Errr Anne didn't give her the award she just handed it over, the University awarded it... they asked Anne to do it. As @Lara_Flyingminx asked: "What about the little awards that Markle and Harry have acquired? Different when the boot’s on the other foot isn’t it?"

User @JasOfBirmingham asked: "My cousin got a Doctorate from a local University because her services for the disabled. Is her special educational honour 'shameless, spectacularly self indulgent which makes her look like t**t too? You truly are a troubled person..."

It's not the first time Narinder's takes haven't exactly landed. After her comments about Kate Middleton's "ageing" - despite the royal's cancer and chemotherapy treatment – she's faced calls to be stripped from TV roles.

The tweet that caused the X row read: “Genuine question – why has Kate aged so much? Isn’t she only 42? Is she a smoker? It’s the only explanation.” She later doubled down on her comments by arguing that when her own brother had cancer, he “didn’t age like that”.

One user wrote: "Dear @GMB, @loosewomen, @GBNEWS & @theJeremyVine. Please stop hiring Narinder Kaur. If you don’t, we’ll assume you endorse her hideous comments." Someone else argued: "GB News stopped inviting gobby Narinder Kaur on their show ages ago thank goodness!"

Others were ready to defend Narinder against cancel culture, however, and fumed: "She’s already removed the tweet and apologised. You knew that, of course." As someone else said: "Now this I don’t agree with. This is just pure cancel culture now."
