Some Android Auto users have been running into wireless connection issues causing stuttering audio over the past few months, but Google says this should be fixed with the latest updates.
Wireless Android Auto is a very convenient and helpful way to power navigation and music while you’re in the car, but issues aren’t exactly uncommon. Over the past few months, some users have run into issues with Android Auto “stuttering.”
Google, on a forum post, confirmed that a fix for this problem is now available.
The Android Auto 13.2 update that started rolling out in early November supposedly fixes these issues. User reports on the thread, though, seem to show the issue isn’t fully resolved. Those affected say that audio stutters, and it also seems to affect outgoing audio on calls. Plugging in and using a wired connection instead solves the problem.
Other changes in Android Auto 13.2 are minor, including better branding for the NACS toggle in the Settings menu. That’s not the newest version, though, as Android Auto 13.3 is rolling out widely to all users, while Android Auto 13.4 is available in the beta track. Hopefully, those versions will bring the needed fix for those who didn’t have the issue solved in v13.2.
