Former “The Bachelorette” lead and “Dancing with the Stars” champion Hannah Brown shared very vulnerable details about the state of her relationship with her fiance Adam Woolard. The couple has made a big decision ahead of their wedding and she opened up about what led to the decision in a series of social media posts.

Brown and Woolard bought a home together in Nashville, Tennessee several months ago. However, she revealed that they decided they would no longer live together until their wedding in the summer.

Hannah Brown & Adam Woolard Are Not Currently Sharing the House They Bought Together

On January 23, Brown shared the vulnerable details via her Instagram Stories. She noted that the decision came from a “value session” the couple did with their therapist.

Brown explained, “If you don’t know your values, you don’t know how to align your goals with your values.” She shared that the couple’s therapist pointed out, “If you don’t declare your values, your values will still choose you.”

“We’re all living a certain way and sometimes there’s (sic) values that we say we want to live, [but they] don’t align with the ones that we actually are living out,” Brown continued.

As the couple worked on defining their values, both individually and as a couple, they focused on “making sure that every area of our life aligned with things that are most important to us, and for us, our faith is the most important thing to us.”

Brown acknowledged that this priority on faith wasn’t the case in the early days of the couple’s relationship. Both Brown and Woolard have been on a journey of discovery with their faith and have found a church in Nashville that they’ve fully embraced.

As the couple worked to go “all in” with their faith, they took a look at what held them back. Brown admitted that finances were challenging for her, and “Our relationship in general could be tough when it comes to believing and honoring what God has for marriage.”

Ultimately, the couple decided that living together before their wedding contradicted what they were striving to achieve in their faith. They have lived together since eight months into their relationship, but that has now changed.

“We decided to just trust God and we are not living in this house together until we get married this summer,” Brown revealed.

The Change Is Going Well for the Couple

Brown shared, “It was obviously a big decision and very different and new, but we both separately were having these thoughts… and just feeling the Lord to call us to do this.”

“I feel like we’ve just had this relief in knowing that we’re being obedient to what we both are hearing God’s wanting for our relationship,” she added.

While the change has had its challenges, “It’s been really great. I feel the most connected to Adam that I ever had, I think, because we are so intentional about the time that we have together,” Brown noted.

She also told fans, “We just have to truth what we feel like God is calling us to do. We had to be obedient.”

In addition, Brown shared, that the couple is “Excited for what God has for our marriage.”
