Has The Strictly Come Dancing Winner Already Been Decided?

1 month ago 5

For the past 12 weeks we have watched some of Britain’s most loved celebrities transform into ballroom and Latin dancers and, this weekend, the Strictly Come Dancing winner will finally be announced.

Chris McCausland, JB Gill, Sarah Hadland and Tasha Ghouri will take to the dance floor one last time in this weekend’s final in the hopes of lifting the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

Chris is partnered with Dianne Buswell, JB is paired with Lauren Oakley after Amy Dowden had to step down due to injury, Sarah is partnered with Vito Coppola, while Tasha is dancing with Aljaž Škorjanec.

Vito won last year’s show with actress Ellie Leach and, if he wins again with Sarah at the weekend, will follow in the footsteps of Oti Mabuse who won the show back to back in 2019 and 2020.

But some viewers think the Strictly Come Dancing winner for this year has already been chosen.

After reality star Pete Wicks was eliminated from the competition after a dance-off with Love Island finalist Tasha, viewers took to social media to declare that they have already decided who should win the series this year.

And it seems that many viewers have decided to put their faith in comedian Chris – who is the first ever blind contestant to appear on the BBC show – and his professional partner Dianne Buswell.

One wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, ‘If Strictly is about a “journey’”, as is so often quoted, then Chris and Dianne have to win the Glitter Ball. No question!’

A second added, ‘How moving was Chris & Dianne’s Viennese Waltz?! Judges, he is what Strictly is all about, not only Pete. And Dianne’s words about Chris came from the heart. Want them to win so much now!’

‘So pleased for Chris and Dianne and I really hope they win next week,’ another added.

While a fourth viewer penned, ‘I mean idk why anyone else bothered, forgone conclusion from week 1 Chris was gonna win.’

A final viewer wrote, ‘I can’t wait to see Chris’ dances in the final. My winners. I absolutely love their show dance song choice.

‘I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, Chris to win Strictly! Although JB, Sarah and Tasha are fantastic too.’

Of course, the winner hasn't been decided yet and won't be until Saturday's final. As with each week, the judges' scores which make up the leaderboard will be added to the results of the public vote.

However, there is no dance off in the final and the scores and public votes will determine the winner.

The bookies are suggesting Chris will make history at the weekend by lifting the Glitterball Trophy at the weekend, too.

Ladbrokes say Chris is the runaway favourite to win the series, with odds of just 1/16.

JLS singer JB is second favourite according to the bookies, with odds of 14/1, with Sarah Hadland in third place with odds of 25/1.

Tasha is least likely to win according to the bookies, standing with odds of 33/1 ahead of the final.
