Fern Britton reveals how Phil Vickery ‘seduced’ her in 2009

Fern Britton has been a familiar face on our screens for decades, recently finishing in fifth place on the newly re-booted series of Celebrity Big Brother.

The former This Morning star has also experienced a busy love life and has revealed that she doesn't plan to re-marry following her split from Phil Vickery in 2020.

Speaking to MailOnline earlier this year, she told the publication that she has no intention of marrying again, but hasn't ruled out on falling in love.

She said: "I don't want to live with anyone – and I don't want to get married again. I'm a very independent person and the older I get the more I realise I like freedom."

Fern met Phil Vickery whilst on the set of BBC Two's Ready Steady Cook and had one child together called Winnie. The couple decided to call it quits in 2020 after two decades of marriage.

When Fern announced her second divorce in 2020, she posted a statement saying: "After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children."

She previously opened up about her split with Phil during on an episode of Good Morning Britain, detailing that she and Phil “fell apart” following the death of her mum and dad.

The TV star was previously married to Clive Jones for two years before the pair divorced in 2000. Clive is the father to three of her four children: Jack, Harry, and Grace.

During her time on Celebrity Big Brother, Fern told fellow contestant Louis Walsh that love was out of the window. She shared: "I don’t want to fall in love again."

She said to Louis: "I’m ready to slow down, like you, I’ve been working solidly since I was 20." Agreeing, Louis replied: “You realise what life is, and realise why haven’t I done this before, why didn’t I go there, why didn’t I do that?”

Before entering the Celebrity Big Brother house, Fern told Weekend Magazine that she’s currently not dating anyone.
