GloRilla Says People Crying Online Is Her Social Media Pet Peeve

GloRilla hates it when people cry on social media.

In a new interview with XXL, the 25-year-old rapper gave candid insights on her personal beliefs, career goals, her thoughts on dating, and her highlights of 2024.

When asked about her pet peeves, Glo said, “A social media pet peeve I have is when people get on the internet crying. Like, why are you recording yourself crying? I hate that.”

As far as dating goes, Glo was asked to give advice to men on how to treat their woman right and said, “Just do right and listen to them and let them run you. Like, shut up and listen.”

“Never tell a woman that they need you. Never ever. Don't do that because then we're gonna show you the reason—every reason in the book why we don't need you,” she added.

The “TGIF” rapper said she doesn’t go on dates anymore to avoid being seen but thinks amusement parks make the best date spots, saying she goes “on everything.”

“I don't go on dates because … I know people are gonna see me. But if I had to pick the best place to go on a date is like an amusement park. I love amusement parks. I go on everything,” she said further into the interview.

While she said she can’t share what her guilty pleasures are on camera, she did talk about working at Walmart as a job she always wanted to try, and being an online grocery shopper was her last gig before becoming famous.

It’s no question that 2024 was the Memphis-bred rapper’s breakthrough year that saw her touring with Megan Thee Stallion, sending singles “Yeah Glo,” “Wanna Be,” and “TGIF” to the Billboard charts, and the release of her debut album Glorious, which debuted at No. 5 on Billboard 200.

“My hip-hop career goal would be to be the biggest, and I want to end up being a billionaire off my hip hop career,” she said of her goals.

“Like some things I loved in 2024 was going on tour with Meg[an Thee Stallion], dropping my debut album,” Glo said elsewhere in the interview. “My success this year, like, I had a lot of success this year. I charted a lot this year and, you know, charting ain't easy, but I did.”
