Heidi Klum braves the cold as she strips down to just a thong and bra for snowball fight

Heidi Klum is having a very merry time up the American Rocky Mountains with her husband Tom Kaulitz - and she's refusing to let a recent toe injury dampen her spirits

Heidi Klum playfully threw a snowball at her other half while embracing winter weather while wearing nothing but her underwaer.

The 51-year-old German model has been enjoying a romantic and festive break in Aspen, Colorado with her husband Tom Kaulitz. And while the pair have been enjoying their time on the slopes in the luxurious ski resort, it seems Heidi has been keen to get as close to the elements as she possibly can - and has been stripping down to just her underwear to cavort in the snow.

Exposing herself to sub-zero temperatures, Heidi proved she is willing to go to extremes to look fresh as she stepped out in the American Rocky Mountains wearing next to nothing - with the mercury dipping to a very chilly minus two centigrade. Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the Making The Cut star cheekily danced to the sound of So This Is Love by Sneha Prakash before turning around to spot the camera behind her.

She quickly rolled together a snowball and threw it at the camera while laughing. She uploaded the clip to her main grid and added a caption stating: "Do you have a tradition on New Year’s Eve? For me …it’s red lace... Good Luck." She added a number of emojis to the caption - including a snowman, a snowflake, and a face surrounded by love hearts.

Her cheerful update came after she revealed she had suffered an injury during her time up the mountains - but not for reasons most would expect, on a ski trip. Taking to her Stories over the weekend, the star pulled off her socks to show off a very painful-looking bruise on one of her toes. Explaining how she suffered the injury, she said in a video clip: "So, this is not from skiing. It’s not from skiing. This is from dancing to Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You and then I just ran against the door."

She later shared a further video of her foot in the snow as she desperately tried to utilise her cold surroundings to limit the amount of swelling. While further footage showed Tom lovingly bandaging her toes together - giving rise to fears she could have broken the digit. Heidi has been sharing frequent updates from her time up the mountain - revealing plenty romantic moments with her 35-year-old husband who she has been married to since 2019.

The model and the Tokio Hotel guitarist posed beside signs on the mountain that pointed to Lover's Lane and Homestead Road - and they posed for energetic photos and videos where they were wearing skiis. And on Christmas Eve, Heidi shared a collection of snaps showing herself parading in front of a fireplace and added a caption asking: " Santa …Are you coming down my chimney tonight."
