The first official crossover event for Helldivers 2 is here, and it's one fans have wanted to see ever since the game was released. Helldivers 2 is crossing over with PlayStation's Killzone franchise, bringing new Helghast-inspired outfits, banners, weapons, and more.
The Helldivers 2 x Killzone 2 crossover feels like a match made in heaven, and Arrowhead Game Studios stated that it would only do crossovers if they made perfect sense for the game.
Here are the first set of rewards from the Helldivers/Killzone crossover:
- Ac-1 Dutiful - Armor set
- StA-52 Assault Rifle - Primary weapon
- Strength in Our Arms - Player banner
- Strength in Our Arms - Cape
- Assault Infantry - Player title
A second page of rewards will drop in the superstore on December 23, 2024. Arrowhead has also teased a special Killzone 2 reward for all players if they're successful in the Galactic War taking place during the Omens of Tyranny event.
For those who missed it, Omens of Tyranny was revealed during The Game Awards, which showed the addition of a new enemy faction called the Illuminate, new urban maps, and a new Fast Recon Vehicle (FRV).
Helldivers 2 is available on PC and PlayStation 5. Killzone 2 was released in 2009 on the PS3, followed by Killzone 3 and Killzone: Shadow Fall. Both franchises are set a few centuries into the third millennium featuring futuristic warfare. If you'd rather play other multiplayer games, there are plenty to choose from during the holiday season.
