Celebrities across the globe continue to look for new ways and methods to look their best at all times.

With red carpet season huge in the showbiz calendar and round-the-clock awards ceremonies, famous faces have an uphill task to look a million dollars constantly. While some opt for salmon sperm facials or vampire facials, others have specific skincare routines they swear by.

A number, however, insist they have found the perfect way to beat the bloat - colonic irrigations. Now, an expert in the industry has revealed to the Mirror exactly why so many, including Kim Kardashian and Gwyneth Paltrow are raving about the treatment.

The owner of holistic wellness med spa, Feel The Heal, told us "colonics and gut health are definitely trending" in the industry. Daryn Herzfeld said: "More people are realising how essential a healthy gut is—not just for reducing toxins and parasites, but for boosting mental clarity, enhancing skin radiance, and increasing energy. Celebrities are now using their platforms to share their wellness and skin routines openly, breaking the taboo and sparking widespread conversation on social media. What was once kept private is now catching on like wildfire."

She added: "Many celebrities and artists seek colonics to achieve a flatter stomach for fitting perfectly into their stunning dresses, tuxedos, or suits. A colonic helps reduce bloating, hydrates the body, and leaves skin looking extra plump and radiant—especially with a series of treatments that can enhance skin glow.

"Each session can even lead to a loss of 3 to 4 pounds of fecal weight, which, while not the primary focus, is certainly an added benefit. This is why so many celebrities choose colonics before red carpet events or other major appearances."

Explaining the benefits further, Daryn went on: "Celebrities turn to colonics not just for the physical health benefits, but also for emotional well-being. Many people don’t realise the powerful gut-brain and gut-skin connections at play. Athletes come in before big games to boost energy and release toxins, while stars schedule colonics before red carpet events to avoid bloating.

"Models rely on it for a glowing complexion before stepping onto the runway or a photo shoot. Performers who travel from city to city, singing and performing night after night, benefit as well; frequent flights can disrupt gut health due to cabin pressure. Even celebrities who dine out constantly use colonics to detox and feel refreshed."

She insisted: "The results go beyond the physical. Clients report mental clarity, reduced brain fog, a stronger immune system, and an overall sense of lightness and vitality. Though the benefits apply to everyone, they’re especially valuable to celebrities who face unique pressures to look and feel their best."

While Daryn keeps strict confidentiality in terms of who she deals with, she added she believes Feel The Heal is one of Miami’s best-kept secrets.

As well as colonic treatments, Daryn added: "There’s also a growing awareness around anti-parasitic detoxes. At Feel The Heal, we specialise in these detoxes and even offer our own line of anti-parasite tinctures and programs to help cleanse the body. Our kits are designed to be user-friendly for at-home use, and we also provide in-office treatments."
