Home Alone fans are only just realising where one of the franchise's most iconic stars is now – and it's very different from his life 34 years ago, when the film was first released.

The legendary first film features an all-star cast, from Academy Award winner Joe Pesci to a young Macaulay Culkin, so it's no wonder it remains such a beloved Christmas staple. Its sequel, Lost in New York, added famous faces like Tim Curry and Rob Schneider to the mix.

But one of the film's best-loved stars has traded the glitz and glam of Hollywood for a more tranquil life on their farm. They now spend their days sculpting, sharing their works of art online.

Taking to Twitter/X to share a video of actor Daniel Stern, fans were delighted to see what he had been up to since Home Alone. The actor, who portrayed bumbling burglar Marv Murchins, shared many scenes with Pesci and it is believed the pair remain close.

Stern, 67, has not turned his back on acting but found a new love in the form of sculpting at his ranch. A screen recording of a post from his TikTok, @realdanielstern0, showed the actor unveiling his latest sculpture. The clip has since gone viral on Twitter/X, with a user sharing the post and writing: "Marv from Home Alone lives on a farm and is a sculptor. Look guys!"

A few users corrected the original poster, with one writing: "This is not simply "Marv from Home Alone", this is the LEGEND known as Daniel Stern." The rest of the replies and quote-tweets were filled with admiration for Stern's work latest work, a sculpted woman resting on a chair.

One user says the video shows Stern has "serious talent" for sculpting while another called the actor a "talent". Stern has continued working as an actor but also turned to sculpture work and created work for public art projects across the United States.

Another user wrote: "I had no idea what happened to Marv, but this made me happy to see. That dress and the detail is pretty awesome btw!" One reminisced about their favourite moments from Stern's career while also praising his newfound passion for sculpting."

They added: "This man literally brought tears to my eyes in Home Alone 2. Omg, the first person to make me have tears from laughter. It was the brick scene and the way he reacted to it. I will always respect him. Great work by the way." Some were stunned by the complexities of the sculpture and wondered whether it was attached to the chair.

One wrote: "Wow, when I first glanced down I thought that was real fabric and wondered how long it took Then I still wondered how long it took! Is she attached to that chair? Or can the sculpture be placed on any surface that tall?!"
