How RHOSLC’s Bronwyn Newport Is a Total Badass Amid Husband Infidelity Drama

For a first season Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, Bronwyn Newport has really embraced what it means to be rookie of the year for Bravo. The mother of one has had no problem putting each and every woman in their place. She has shined bright, like the diamond (or snowflake in this case) that she is. Todd Bradley’s Starbucks mug collection didn’t stand a chance as Bronwyn’s fashion and comebacks stole the show. Finally, we see B peel back the layers like an onion as she reveals a softer side to herself.

Bronwyn Newport opens up about husband’s cheating

It turns out Bronwyn is human, after all. She exposed her husband during the most recent episode of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. It turns out Todd’s eyes had strayed, and Bronwyn finally revealed some truth about her not-so-perfect relationship. “The amount of things that have been said about me before anyone bothered to get to know me is insane,” she said. “If anybody had asked me about the real sh*t I’ve gone through with Todd, how hard it is to be a stepmom, how hard it is to navigate being with someone who’s older and successful. And the infidelity that we’ve had in our situation.”

Everyone on the charter yacht was left speechless by B’s outspokenness. Bronwyn later shared that it was in fact, her daughter, Gwen, who discovered the indiscretion when she noticed Todd texting another woman on his iPad. The news was a revelation for the group. The newbie broke my heart when she shared that she still has trust issues whenever he leaves for out-of-town work. What Bronwyn is dealing with is very real when it comes to her marriage struggles. Instead of retreating into her shell, she is trying her best to address the ugly and cope.

Bronwyn Newport did the right thing even if the women didn’t agree

Almost immediately, Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks showed their true colors by standing up for Todd. Even though Bronwyn was confused like the rest of us, she noted that their reaction could be because they were once cheaters and understood how Todd felt. Leave it to B to strike while the iron is hot, even though she is vulnerable. Bronwyn was a badass for revealing her deep trauma and not being bothered that her two sort of kinda friends seemed to be rooting against her.

Lisa noted, “For me, all these thoughts were going through my head like, this is something big. I’ve never heard it before. I think a part of me was also like, I wouldn’t share this with a group of girls I’m getting to know because they don’t know Todd, and you’re subjecting him to, like, judgment from a lot of people.” The statement came across as callous and honestly proved that she might not be the girl’s girl we thought she was. But Instead of begging for their approval, Bronwyn moved right along, not wasting another second on their silly opinions. Again, what a bada**.

Bronwyn Newport went on vacation with stitches

Perhaps the biggest flex here for Bronwyn was the fact that not 24 hours ago, she had been bitten by a dog. The attack was bad. Gruesome, in fact. During an interview with People, Bronwyn shared, “I know you’re not supposed to scream, you’re not supposed to jerk your arm. I did all of those things.” The RHOSLC star added, “I totally lost my mind, and I honestly think I made it worse.” But even after this altercation and Todd’s lack of support, she made it to the girl’s trip.

She not only showed up, but she showed out. Even with the stress of worrying about a wandering husband, she still made the time to lay into Lisa about being a bad friend. So even though Bronwyn might be dealing with a mean and dismissive husband, she is looking at the bright side of life. When Bronwyn said, “The real truth is that my relationship is just as hard as everybody else’s. I want them to see that I bleed the same way that they do. I cry about things. And that side of me is there if they’re open to it.” I knew she was a keeper. So keep being vulnerable and a badass B because I, for one, love you even more for it.
