She announced the tour the day of the Grammys with three Instagram posts and, unsurprisingly, people are very excited about it. Beyoncé's fans were quick to demand more information writing, 'You're going to have the whole world fighting for tickets', 'we need the dates', and 'please add more dates'.

It's still early days, but here is what we know about the Cowboy Carter tour so far...

The singer has been hinting at a big reveal since her Christmas NFL half time show on Netflix – the 'Beyoncé Bowl'. Shortly after the performance aired, Beyoncé posted a since-deleted video with the date '14.25' and the caption, 'Look at that horse,' which is a lyric from her track 'Sweet Honey Buckin'.

However, January 14 came and went without an announcement, as the singer delayed her news out of respect to those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.

Tickets for the tour are not on sale yet, but they will be available to purchase on Beyoncé's official website. When you click on the 'Cowboy Carter Tour' link it currently leads to the album’s track list, but that's likely to change very soon...

Where is Beyoncé performing her Cowboy Carter show?

The poster Beyoncé has shared says she will be performing in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Houston, Atlanta, Washington D.C and Las Vegas, London and Paris.

As a music titan with fans all around the world, this has already caused an uproar, and many of them are hoping the singer will add more dates and locations to the tour.

When does the Cowboy Carter tour start?

Dates for Beyoncés next tour have not been announced yet, but if her Renaissance tour is anything to go by it could run between May and October.

Despite being the most decorated artist in Grammy history, until 2 February, Beyoncé had never won the coveted Album of the Year prize – something that became a well known part of her lore as an artist. She said she felt 'honoured' to finally win, beating Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, Charli XCX, Andre 3000 and Jacob Collier.

'Wow, I really was not expecting this. I want to thank God that I'm able to do what I love after so many years.'

She went on to say, 'Genre is a code word to keep us in place as artists, and I just want to encourage us to do what we're passionate about. [...] It's been many, many years and I just want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all the hard work.'

She is the first Black woman to win the award since Lauryn Hill won with The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill in 1999.
