Hugh Jackman fans have been left angry and disappointed after the Marvel star cancelled his tour date at London’s Hyde Park. The Australian movie actor - famous for films such as X Men, Logan, Les Miserables and Wolverine - was scheduled to perform songs from musicals including The Boy From Oz, Les Miserables, The Music Man and The Greatest Showman on Sunday, July 6 2025 at BST Hyde Park.

Yet today a statement shared on behalf of Jackman by BST Hyde Park said: “Due to an unforeseen conflict in my schedule, I am deeply disappointed to announce I will be unable to perform in Hyde Park this July 6. This was a stage I truly was looking forward to being on. No less in a city that I love so much.

“Thank you to all people who’ve purchased tickets. For ticket refunds, please go to the link in my bio for more information. London, I will see you soon!”

Jackman, well-known for his role playing the fierce superhero Wolverine across The X-Men film series, is also known for his musical theatre roles. He was in 2012 period film Les Miserables and played showman PT Barnum in The Greatest Showman.

BST Hyde Park said: “Ticketholders for Hugh Jackman will automatically be refunded in full for tickets purchased through official agents." The star is set to return to perform at Radio City Music Hall, New York in April, and continue with dates at that venue until October.

After the announcement of the London cancellation emerged, some fans were sympathetic. Yet others were not.

Speaking on X, Wiktoria said: "r u kidding me man?! I got almost everything paid for already! wtf." Craig McNaught said: "Far from amused!!"

Charlie said: "Love u but this is not cool." Lou said: "Absolutely gutted.

"Was so looking forward to seeing you. Hope everything's okay and maybe you can do something similar sometime soon."

An account called Labour Heartlands was more blunt, saying: "Oh dear, how to p*** off thousands of people who will have already planned and booked hotels." Others were more forgiving.

Neto San Roman said: "You have a heart of gold. You're always telling us to be a better person. We love you so much! Thank you for everything."

And Nancy said: "Well at least you gave them notice in advance."
