Trinny Woodall

Trinny Woodall launched her popular beauty brand in 2017

Beauty brand Trinny London is offering shoppers a free gift worth £34 when they spend £50. But I’ve found a way to maximise discounts with a deal stack that will get you £132 worth of the brand’s makeup and skincare for less than half the price.

Owned by Trinny Woodall, Trinny London is best known for their simple, practical and on-the-go makeup staples and reliable anti-ageing formulas. And until December 24, anyone who spends £50 or more on festive gift sets will also receive a limited-edition beauty cracker worth £34.

Inside the cracker, called Trinny’s Everyday Chic gift set, is everything you need to feel chic and put-together in one minute flat. There’s an Eye2Eye cream based eyeshadow in the khaki shade Chariot, as well as a Lip2Cheek in a warm coral hue, finishing the set with a Lip Glow in the shade Honour.

These little pots are the epitome of minimal effort, maximum impact, and can be stacked on top of one another to take with you in your handbag. The cracker containing the makeup trio is automatically added to qualifying baskets with no code needed - so the next question is, what to buy to bag it?

I took a look at the gift sets available, and if it were me, I’d opt for the Feel Pampered gift set, which is worth £80 but priced at £60, so immediately goes above the minimum spend threshold. It features a full size version of the Bounce Back moisturiser, as well as a new ‘the massager’ - a nifty face roller that encourages lymphatic drainage, sculpts and improves circulation.

The Bounce Back moisturiser is worth £54 alone, and has earned a 4.8 star rating on the Trinny website, based on more than 800 reviews. One said: “I wouldn't be without this moisturiser, can apply make up over the top. Fabulous product.”

Another added: “Love this moisturiser. I use it day and night over a serum. Perfect texture, not too thick or thin and gives good overall coverage.” But as is often the case with skincare, is that not everyone loved it, with one commenting: “Unfortunately not for my skin. The product causes my skin to feel dry and also pills.”

Now, the final part of this deal stack will see shoppers get themselves a free Energise Me Mini moisturiser, worth £18. To access this offer, new shoppers on Trinny will need to wait for a pop up window on the website which asks them to put in their email address to claim the freebie. While this will sign you up to the Trinny London newsletter, you’ll also receive a code in your welcome email, which can be input at the payment section of the checkout page to add it to your basket. Overall, this will get shoppers £132 worth of products for £60, which is a saving of £72.

In other beauty deals, LookFantastic has a Christmas Beauty Present, worth over £165, down to £40. Inside are seven unmissable beauty picks, six of which are full-size from brands like ELEMIS, OLAPLEX and more.

Meanwhile, at Face The Future anyone who spends £250 can get a limited edition bundle, worth £195, for free. Inside are eight skincare and haircare treats from brands like OSKIA and La Roche-Posay - not to mention a full sized Medik8 serum.

On the high street, Boots has also launched a number of gift sets that are better than half price, like this Boots X Laneige Beauty Bag Edit, which is priced at £35, but is worth £74.40. Or you can shop the Trinny London gift sets here and get your free cracker when spending £50.
