I'm A Celeb star Danny Jones made "bullsh**" claims to ITV bosses, according to wife

2 hours ago 2

Danny Jones' wife has revealed that the McFly star is trying to fool I'm A Celebrity fans, confirming that he has "lied" about his phobia.

Before entering the jungle, the singer admitted that he is petrified of snakes - but according to his spouse Georgia, these "fears are bull****".

Talking on the Never Have I Ever podcast, Georgia told host Hannah Cooper: ""He's lied, and he said he's scared of snakes. Bulls***. World exclusive: bulls***. So, everyone vote for the tasks that don't involve snakes, please! He’s not scared of snakes, but he said he is, that’s a double bluff."

She added: "He's now going to get tasks with snakes… I think they think Danny's a really genuine guy!"

Instead, Georgia explained that Danny's real weakness is much more simple than wild animals, the Mirror reports.

She said: "The only problem with Danny is he's not great when he's hungry or tired, and he's going to be hungry and tired."

Georgia went on to describe how she struggled to pick luxury items for her husband, and hasn't chosen what he would want himself.

She joked: "This man has never fussed so much over the fact that he can't tape his mouth in the jungle. He tapes his mouth at night. He tapes his mouth. It’s meant to have many, many health benefits… It’s literally like a piece of gaffer tape. It's like a massive plaster of your lips."

The revelations surrounding Danny's tall tales come after he was accused of "fooling" I'm a Celebrity viewers by pretending to like a divisive campmate.

Body language expert Judi James analysed the singer's attitude towards Dean McCullough. She explained that as "potential leaders" in the camp, both Danny and former professional boxer Barry McGuigan have very different approaches to the controversial radio presenter.

James noted how Barry is more critical of Dean, while Danny tends to be favour encouragement.

However, despite Danny's apparent support for Dean, James says that the singer has also been "masking some inner lack of patience" with the presenter.

Speaking to Paddy Power Games she said: "Barry's patience with Dean appeared thinner than that of most of the others. When the others sent Dean off for his Lethal Lab trial, Danny embraced Dean in a limpet hug, but Barry sat away from the group in an act of rejection."

James continued: "When Dean came back celebrating his four stars Barry used his mug as an 'expression shield', appearing to hide his facial expression by sipping from it while the others pretended to celebrate."
