With the lead up to the festive season officially on, there’s still plenty of time to get your hands on an advent calendar to help you count down the days until Christmas Day. As an avid beauty advent calendar fan, I love the fact that Rituals’ calendar offers something a little bit different from the usual makeup and skincare products found in most calendars. It still has some of these inside, of course; but it’s also packed with more unusual things like perfumes, body lotions, candles and even a bracelet to create the perfect well rounded selection of gifts.
Inspired by Rituals’ Dutch heritage, the calendar is also beautifully traditional-looking. Its sturdy cardboard frame resembles the iconic canal houses in Amsterdam, and the top folds up to create a rooftop silhouette.

Another of my favourite advent calendars that offers something a bit different is the Arran Sense of Scotland Perfume and Fragrance Advent Calendar, which is worth £180 but will cost you £80. It contains a whole host of different perfumes, home fragrances and body care products like shower gels and hand lotions, making it the perfect all-rounder.
