EARLIER this week, Amanda Holden sparked a huge debate after sharing her unusual breakfast meal.
The Britain's Got Talent judge, 53, was preparing for an episode of Heart Breakfast, when she decided to show her 2.3 million Instagram followers how she enjoys her hard-boiled eggs.
Amanda was filmed squeezing some Marmite onto the top of an egg, as she said: "I don't understand why everyone thinks this is a gross thing to do. This is my favourite thing to do."
Fans shared their disgust, as one wrote: “Not normal”, whilst another agreed: “Wrong on so many levels.”
But it’s not only Amanda who’s left fans horrified with her snack choices - as pop star Dua Lipa, 29, also raised eyebrows recently with her viral Diet Coke cocktail recipe.
The singer made headlines after she revealed that she drinks Diet Coke mixed with pickle and jalapeño pepper juice, not forgetting a few peppers on top for that extra kick.

We saw celebrities including Gordon Ramsay and Prue Leith react to the TikTok trend by trying her cocktail for themselves and even Coca-Cola themselves replied saying: "I'm calling her filthy."
Here, I tried out five of the weirdest celebrity snacks from over the years - from Selena Gomez’s ‘Texas popcorn’, to Adele’s favourite quick snack.
Whilst Beyonce’s banana and ketchup combo left me full-on gagging, Channing Tatum’s crisp sandwich wasn’t much better either…
Dua Lipa’s Diet Coke cocktail
People all round the globe went mad when Dua Lipa shared her Diet Coke cocktail last month, so of course I was keen to give it a try.
I’m a huge fan of Diet Coke. It’s the crisp, low-calorie drink that gets me through the everyday 3pm slog.

But the thought of adding jalapeños and pickles to my favourite fizzy beverage didn’t fill me with joy.
If you ask me, nachos aren’t nachos without a load of jalapeños, and you bet I’m not picking out the gherkins in my McDonald’s burger.
But adding these spicy snacks to a drink is something I never imagined I’d do.
Whilst spicy margs have taken over every cocktail menu in London, I’m not yet converted, and although Dirty Martinis are popular with many, not so much me.
But unlike Gordon Ramsay, I wasn’t left spitting this drink out. However, it did take me a while to make up my mind on the cocktail.
I can’t say I’d make it again, but it definitely wasn’t as terrible as I imagined.
However, if you’re not a fan of spice, I’d avoid it at all costs.
Selena Gomez’s ‘Texas popcorn’
And whilst Dua Lipa is a fan of jalapeños and pickles, it turns out that the It Ain’t Me songstress, Selena Gomez, is a huge fan of Tabasco sauce.
And no, she doesn’t just have the spicy sauce with her meat or pizza, instead, she adds it to her popcorn - yes, you heard that correctly.
On an appearance on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, Selena introduced the host to something she dubbed “Texas popcorn.”
The Wizards of Waverly Place alum explained: “Basically you get Tabasco sauce … put a lot in the bag and then you put salt in it. Then you mix it up.”
The nation’s most peculiar food combinations revealed
Brits reveal unusual food combinations that are so wrong, they feel right
Research by LNER claims that a whopping four in five Brits experiment with unusual flavours, and almost a quarter have a ‘guilty pleasure’ when it comes to unconventional food combinations,
- Crisps and chocolate
- Cheese and chocolate
- Crisps in jam sandwich
- Chips and milkshake
- Cheese and bananas
- Apples with salt and pepper
- Avocado and chocolate
- Popcorn and hot sauce
- Tuna and marmite
- Gherkins and peanut butter
I had high hopes for this unique snack so was keen to give it a try.
After all, I’d never say no to a bowl of popcorn as a tasty afternoon snack and I also add heaps of Tabasco to my poached eggs.
Whilst I ended up making a mess and spilling salt everywhere, it was the Tabasco that was somewhat of an issue.
However, although I added a bit too much Tabasco, I have to say, I’m a fan.
It’s definitely different, and if you’ve got a sweet tooth, it’s probably not for you.
But the combination of flavours left my tongue tingling (in a good way), and I’d definitely be down to whip this up for my next movie night.
If you ask me, move over sweet and salt popcorn, it’s now all about the sweet and spicy combo.
Adele’s saucy crisps
When Adele, 36, isn’t performing at her Las Vegas Residency, it turns out she’s tucking into a very unique snack.
So if you’re a fan of Walker’s, but want to give your favourite crisps a bit of an upgrade, you’ve come to the right place.
Posting on Instagram back in 2021, the Set Fire to the Rain singer revealed that she likes to eat "Ready Salted Walkers [potato chips] with loads of Worcestershire sauce."
Following this, in an interview with BBC Radio 1, she explained that she pours the sauce directly into the bag, then "you hold it tight, and you clip it, and you shake it, shake it, shake it."
Now whilst some people might add Worcestershire sauce to their Shepherd’s pie or cheese on toast, I was open to the idea of adding it to crisps.
It’s the same concept as the iconic Salt & Shake crisps, which I love, so I eagerly got my two ingredients and gave them a mix.

If you ask me, ready salted crisps can be a bit dull, and I have to say, I was impressed with the saucy crisps.
The much-loved sauce, which has a savoury and sweet flavour with a vinegary tang, paired perfectly with the plain crisps.
Despite this, I will say it’s a bit of a challenge to get the right amount of sauce without it ruining the snack completely.
So if you give this combo a try, don’t get too eager and add loads of sauce (like I did), as you’ll end up with very soggy crisps (which is one way to ruin any afternoon).
Channing Tatum’s ‘PBJC’ sandwich
Whilst a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is a snack common amongst many in the US, it’s not something I’ve ever tried.
So when I found out about Channing Tatum’s iconic take on the classic ‘PBJ’ sandwich, I was intrigued.
While promoting his new children’s book on Today, the Magic Mike actor played a few rounds of ‘Fact or Fake’ with hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager.
During the game, the hosts had to guess whether the statements Channing read were true or false - one of them being “My go-to sandwich is peanut butter, jelly, and Cheetos.”
It turned out that the crisp sandwiches were a snack the 44-year-old loved as a child, as he beamed: “When I was a kid I loved peanut butter and jelly and just Cheetos [in there].”
I’m a big fan of crisp sandwiches and whilst I can’t say I’ve ever added Cheetos to a sandwich before, I had high hopes.
But they quickly came crashing down after just one tiny bite.

The combination of the cheesy crisps, which taste basically the same as Wotsits, with the sweet jelly, was not for me, and that’s coming from a mega cheese fan, who also has a huge dessert stomach.
I was quite looking forward to the unique sandwich, but I certainly won’t be making it again.
It was texture overload and the sweet and savoury mix was not a bit of me - much like pineapple on pizza, it just shouldn’t be a thing.
Beyonce’s fruity combo
But the worst of them all, the final weird celebrity snack left me physically gagging.
After announcing her first pregnancy at the MTV VMAs back in 2011, Beyonce’s food cravings were writing the headlines.
And it was reported that whilst on a cruise through Croatia and Italy with hubby Jay Z, the pop star, 43, had been indulging in some very unique foods.

Articles read: "Oreo biscuits and gherkins, Bounty ice creams with hot chilli sauce and she loves dipping bananas in ketchup.”
So much to my dismay, I gave it a try. And to be honest, I really wish I hadn’t.
Whilst I’m a huge fan of bananas and I often drown my chips in ketchup, combining the two made me feel sick.
And after just one tiny bite, I can safely say, it was the weirdest combination of them all.
I instantly gagged and my eyes began to water - the soft texture of the banana mixed with the distinct taste of the tomato ketchup was not pleasant at all and is something I, quite frankly, never want to experience again.
Not only was it a moment of hell for my taste buds, but I was left with a gurgling stomach ache for the remainder of the day too - so pregnant women beware, even if you’re craving it, don’t do it.
