Nicole Kidman's new erotic drama Babygirl has caused a stir on social media, with fans obsessing over the infamous 'milk scene' - but it's not the hottest part of the movie.

Helmed by Halina Reijn, who smashed it with Bodies Bodies Bodies back in 2022, this thriller is all about female desire with a sizzling love story at its heart.

Nicole Kidman is on fire as Romy, a CEO with a picture-perfect life, until she finds herself caught up in a steamy affair with her young intern Samuel, played by Iron Claw star Harris Dickinson.

Of all the steamy scenes in the almost two-hour drama, viewers have latched onto one raunchy moment - the infamous 'milk scene.' A clip went viral on social media following the film's USA debut on Christmas Day, reports the Daily Record. However, there is one segment that blows it out of the water.

While she's chatting with another senior member of the team, Samuel unexpectedly orders Romy a glass of milk, silently instructing her to drink it. Ignoring her colleague, who is confused by the order, Romy downs the whole glass, prompting Samuel to praise her by saying, "Good girl," before they leave the bar.

The fleeting yet steamy moment in the film caught even more eyes when writer Reijn dished out that it was inspired by her own "hot" encounter with a younger celeb.

"There was this young Belgian actor — I can’t say who it is — but he was famous. I knew of him. I’d never spoken to him. He was at least 15 years younger than I, and he ordered me a glass of milk. I thought it was an incredible, hot thing to do and so courageous, and so I wanted to reward him by drinking the whole thing, and I did. It did make me a little nauseated, to be honest with you, because it was cow milk. It was back in the day," she told IndieWire.

The milk scene has captured the attention of social media

Yet, despite what the social media jury thinks, the true gem of Babygirl is its 'Father Figure' montage. With George Michael's 1987 banger as the backdrop, we're treated to a gold-drenched hotel hideaway where the couple's bond deepens. From setting up a safe word to sharing their innermost feelings snuggled in bed, it's all there complete with a shirtless dance.

Romy, despite being married for 19 years, has never found sexual satisfaction with her husband. However, she effortlessly taps into her sexuality when she's with Samuel. But the scene isn't just about depth. It thrusts one of Hollywood's most buzzed-about heartthrobs into the limelight, showcasing his tattoos and seductive moves - easily outshining the milk scene.

Been a while since you last listened to George Michael? Brace yourself to have him on loop after watching Babygirl.

Babygirl lands in cinemas on January 10
