British heritage brand Barbour has launched a women’s four-piece collaboration capsule collection with Erdem for SS25.

The collection reimagines Barbour’s iconic heritage and practicality "through Erdem’s lens of poetic femininity and precise tailoring", inspired by a shared love of craftsmanship and the natural world.

Featuring four key outerwear styles, the ‘Beauflower’, ‘Dhalia’, ‘Clover’ and ‘Constance’, the collection combines waxed fabrics, tailored silhouettes, and unique floral prints in olive and sand tones.

The new capsule collection for SS25 follows on from Erdem and Barbour’s previous collaboration collection, which featured on Erdem’s SS24 catwalk show.

Nicola Brown, Director of Womenswear at Barbour, said: "We are excited to be able to offer this collaboration to our customers, following the success of our previous partnership.

"The collection marries the timeless craftsmanship and quality of both brands, taking Erdem’s romantic and contemporary approach combined with our most iconic silhouettes and wax fabrications."

Erdem Moralioglu, Creative Director of Erdem, added: "I was inspired by the extraordinary Barbour archive, particularly their fabrications and hardware, and loved the idea of translating their heritage of practical, utilitarian details and combining it with my language of the feminine."

The ‘Beauflower’ style is an evolution of the Barbour ‘Beaufort’ wax jacket and "juxtaposes the androgynous silhouette" with contrasting, patchworked waxed cottons and an inky rose bloom overprint. The ‘Dhalia’ plays with proportion and features an exploded peplum waist and detachable tartan hood with an etched flower overprint.

The ‘Clover’ is a reversible swing jacket in dry wax cotton and the lining features the iconic Barbour tartan with a placed grass green rose that is overprinted. The ‘Constance’ wax jacket combines a classic Erdem tailored silhouette with utilitarian details.

In an extension to the capsule collection, Erdem and Barbour have collaborated on a ‘Re-Loved’ initiative. Twenty-five previously owned ‘Beaufort’ jackets have been given new life, restored with an oversized cord collar and embellished with silver hardware eyelets - taking inspiration from Erdem’s SS24 runway show.
