A shooting at a high school party in Fort Wayne, Indiana left one person dead, and 10 others injured late Saturday night, authorities said, leaving the community shaken and police searching for answers.

The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) reported that the incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of Manistee Drive off Stellhorn Road, a suburban area on the city's northeast side.

Investigators learned from witnesses that the shooting took place during what was described as a "high school age party," according to police statements.
