Marten is no stranger to football, having worked alongside his famous wife in the sport, boasting impressive credentials of his own. Instagram/Sarina Wiegman)The Dutch-born football coach is married to Marten Glotzbach, believed to be of German descent. While he keeps his age private, he is thought to be around the same age as his wife and holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and commerce, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Marten began his pursuit in economics but soon laced up to follow his wife's path, taking numerous coaching courses to earn his stripes as a qualified football coach. He kicked off his career behind the camera at Host Broadcast Services, capturing sporting events, before moving on to be a youth trainer and coordinator for about a decade.
For the past 23 years, he's taken on the challenge of teaching economics at Sebroek College in the Netherlands, also plotting strategies for the institute's football squads. Rising to fame as the head coach for the Dutch Women’s national team, Marten worked in tandem with his wife until she moved on to lead England's women as their head coach in September 2021.
