Love Island star Kas Crossley has been announced for All Stars but in recent years she went through hell after being arrested in Dubai.
The star recalled the "most terrifying experience" after she was arrested on drug offences after a video was leaked of her snorting white powder. The bombshell, 29, was detained at Abu Dhabi airport while attempting to catch a connecting flight to Thailand.
After cooperating with officials, she reportedly told her pals about her terrifying ordeal at the time. An insider told The Sun: "They didn’t get me a lawyer or a proper translator. I couldn’t even have a shower.
"I was locked up with 30 other women, and had no idea why I was there for days - nobody would help me. It was the most terrifying experience of my life."
The source added: “She’s very shaken up, the very worst thoughts were going through her mind. It’s an experience it will live with her forever.”
After the Islander fully assisted police with their investigation, she was later released without charge. Before her arrest in February 2023, it is believed her name was flagged up at the airport as United Arab Emirates authorities were still probing the two-year-old clip of her. The video was allegedly taken in November 2020 in lockdown and showed the star leaning over as she snorted white powder off a table.
At the time, Kaz was transferred to the Deportation of Violators Section at Dubai International Airport where she was held in a cell. After her arrest, a further source told the publication that she wasn't allowed to phone her family and was only allowed to send one email.
Instagram post last year, she addressed her experience and said: "So in 2020 I was in Dubai and I was filmed, it was me in the video. No one forced me to do that. It was a time in my life when I definitely didn't love myself at all. And this is reflected in what I was doing to my body and who I surrounded myself with.
"I wasn't thinking. I was then detained in Abu Dhabi and kept in custody from Monday through to Friday which is when they released me. I was very accepting of the situation."
She also spoke openly on the Saving Grace podcast with host GK Barry where she detailed the experience which was caused by a scorned ex boyfriend who leaked the video.
Kaz shared that it had affected her mental health, career, and opportunities, but has since pushed on to develop her Muay Thai experience. She branded the former partner as a "narcissist" and it resulted in her spending "three months on her sofa watching Friends back to back".
The star confessed to her wrong-doings and become very tearful on the podcast, as she shared the aftermath of the story going public in the press. She felt "so low" in herself, but a year on, the star is ready for love as she gets ready to get into the ITV villa on Monday January 13.
