Is Taylor Swift attending Travis Kelce‘s playoffs game? The pop star’s boyfriend just gave the insight scoop!
During an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show” (via X), Travis dropped a big hint about whether Taylor would be cheering him on at his first playoff game on January 18 at Arrowhead Stadium against the Houston Texans. When the host suggested the Grammy-winning songstress might attend, Travis enthusiastically responded, “Oh yeah, you know it, baby. It’s playoff football, man.”
In addition to talking about Taylor potentially attending, the host also brought up her creative genius, asking Travis, “Let’s just say you’re hanging out and having dinner, and all of a sudden, the creative juice sparks. And the absolute beast that you’re sitting with, who is going to go down as maybe the most famous icon in the history of music… are you a motivator every single time?” Travis didn’t hesitate, replying, “Oh, yeah. You know it.”
However, the football star admitted he’s not diving into the world of songwriting anytime soon. “I’ll never chime in when it comes to her music,” he said. “But I’m here to support it. I’m here to see where it can go.”
Travis also shared how Taylor has been learning more about football. During an interview on “The Rich Eisen Show” in September 2024, he revealed, “She has been so open to learning the game. She didn’t know much about the rules or anything… I think she was just curious about the profession.”
This came after Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes joked during an NFL on NBC interview in August 2024 that Taylor was already drawing up football plays. “She asked a lot of great questions,” the quarterback said. “She’s already drawing up plays. We might have to put one in.” Travis also confirmed that Taylor has indeed created plays, although they’re “a little biased” since they’re designed for her tight-end boyfriend. He added, “I know none of the plays have gotten to Coach Reid yet, but if they ever do, I’ll make sure everyone knows it was her creation.”
ICYMI, their love story began with a friendship bracelet and a bold move. In July 2023, Travis revealed on his “New Heights” podcast that he tried to give Swift his phone number at one of her Eras Tour shows. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs she sings,” he shared. “So I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets.”
By September 2023, Taylor had taken notice. She attended a Chiefs game at Arrowhead Stadium, and since then, the pair has been inseparable, openly showing their love and support for one another!
