Coronation Street's Luca Toolan, who played Mason Radcliffe, has shared a heartfelt message following his dramatic exit from the soap.
The actor received an outpouring of support from his ITV co-stars and fans after viewers witnessed the tragic death of his character, who was stabbed by his brothers in a shocking attack.
Viewers have seen Mason attempting to reform after facing justice for his bullying campaign against Liam Connor last year. However, he found it difficult to break free from his brothers - Matty and Logan, who were hell-bent on causing chaos on the cobbles.
Following these dramatic scenes, Luca shared some behind-the-scenes photos from his exit on Instagram and posted a message to mark the end of his time on the cobbles, reports the Manchester Evening News.
He wrote, "Thank you." The actor went on to say: "What an honour and privilege it's been to be a part of this show, and to be trusted with this story. Truly. I've met some of the most incredible friends I'll cherish for life that have been beyond supportive and loving. I'm at a loss for words to quantify what they mean and what this experience has meant to me."
He added: "Through the highs and the lows Liam, Charlie and Karen been there since day 1. I owe them all so much.To the incredible army that makes this show and to the all the supporters of it thank you for making a lads dream come true. Thanks God always You've supported me through all. @charliespromisecharity."
Sally Carman-Duttine, who plays Abi, responded: "Talk about going out on a high. Deffo earned yourself a Maccie D's apple pie for sure."
