ITV I'm A Celeb's Alan Halsall's pal addresses rumoured Tulisa 'romance' with 3-word remark

I'm A Celebrity stars have been adapting to the challenges of jungle life for just over a week, and it seems Alan Halsall and Tulisa Contostavlos are enjoying slightly more luxury than their fellow campers.

In the opening episode, the duo emerged victorious in becoming the inaugural camp leaders - a win that saw them indulging in the comfort of the Leaders' Lodge, replete with real mattresses and cosy bedding.

Possible sparks are beginning to show between Alan and Tulisa, with romance speculation brewing. On Monday's Lorraine show, Scottish hostess Lorraine Kelly talked with Alan's co-star from Coronation Street, Andy Whyment, about the whispers of amorous potential, Plymouth Live reports.

Andy mused on the couple's chemistry: "Well they seem to be getting on really well, don't they? We know they've been sharing the hideout at the top so I'm sure they've been having a few conversations there and obviously, they won the first trial together on the very first show."

In an upbeat tone, Andy continued: "Listen, good luck to him. He's obviously a single lad and I think Tulisa is single so we shall see what happens. Watch this space."

According to reports from the Express, Andy also imparted some wisdom from his stint on the reality show to his soap buddy.

Andy shared some advice about the importance of securing a proper bed in camp, stating: "For me, sleeping in a hammock was so tough. I really struggled with it."

Claire Sweeney, speaking to Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway, noted Alan's behaviour in the jungle, saying: "Isn't he wonderful? I know Maureen Lipman came on here and she said he'll start off quietly just watch and observe and then he'll come forward."

She continued to praise her on-screen son, adding: "That's what he'll do, he's brilliant Alan, he's such a funny guy. He's smart, he's sensitive, he's a really brilliant personality. However, she also called on the show's producers to give him more prominence: "

However, she also urged the show's producers to give him more airtime: "In the first episode he wasn't quiet because he had the big trial with Tulisa and he really shone in that didn't he? He's sitting back at the moment. I think he will, he needs more airtime."

Junkyard - Dean McCullough

Dean McCullough is proving unpopular among viewers

The show has seen its share of restless nights recently, with bed swapping following the introduction of new participants Maura Higgins and Richard Coles. Richard, initially assigned a hammock, was shown some kindness by Strictly's Oti Mabuse, who offered her own bed after his complaint about a lack of sleep.

After joining the main camp from the Jungle Junkyard on Saturday night, Maura and Richard faced a daunting eating challenge to win treats for the group. Their triumph resulted in the camp indulging in an array of delights including hotdogs, chicken nuggets, burgers and chips.

Following Coleen Rooney and Dean McCullough's nine-star victory on Monday, the camp enjoyed possum the following evening.

Currently, Dean's odds to win have slipped following his argument with Alan Halsall. A spokesperson for William Hill, Lee Phelps, commented: "Coleen Rooney has been a notable mover in the outright betting for this year's I'm A Celeb crown over the past few days.

"Rooney has seen her price quartered, as she was backed in from 10/1 to 5/2 over the weekend, edging ever-closer to market leader Danny Jones (EVS). Maura Higgins has also been popular with viewers and has been backed into 5/1 from 10/1."

"The same can't be said for Dean McCullough, who, having received mixed reactions from the public after poor trial performances and a spat with Alan Halsall, has seen his odds fly out to 40/1."
