Camp leader Barry McGuigan went 'missing' on the latest episode of I'm A Celebrity this week, which prompted one of his co-stars to express concern for him in the jungle.

The former professional boxer, 63, is among the campmates on the new series of the ITV show and is leading the camp at the moment alongside McFly's Danny Jones. Other campmates have designated chores to fulfil in the camp.

Tuesday night's episode saw Barry assist N-Dubz member Tulisa Contostavlos, 36, who has been put on washing up duty with Loose Women panelist Jane Moore. Camp leader Barry offered to help out by carrying some pots and pans down to the creek for the former X Factor judge.

He however headed to the area quicker than Tulisa, so when she reached the washing spot down at the stream, co-star Barry was nowhere to be seen. Tulisa looked around to find him and shouted: "Barry … Barry? Where's he gone?"

She continued to call out for the boxing pundit for some time, before he finally appeared further up the jungle greenery looking confused. Following his reappearance, Tulisa laughed and said to him: "You've gone too far!"

Later reflecting on the experience whilst in the bush telegraph, Tulisa expressed some concern for her co-stars, saying: "I think until Barry learns his way around the jungle a bit more, I'll be keeping an eye on him because we don't want to lose him out there, it's a dangerous place."

It comes after some viewers questioned where Tulisa was herself in episodes earlier this week. Fans complained that some campmates, including Tulisa, were not as prominent in some previous episodes. There were calls for her and others to get more screen time on I'm A Celebrity amid Dean McCullough, Maura Higgins and Rev. Richard Coles, who were all in a separate camp at the time, more heavily featuring.

Over the weekend, host Ant McPartlin, 49, acknowledged that some campmates haven't had the same amount of screen time as others. He made a remark whilst encouraging viewers to stop voting for Dean to do bushtucker trials, in order to give other celebrities a chance to take part.

Following the news that Dean would take on his sixth trial, Ant shared in a message for viewers whilst on the companion show I'm A Celebrity ... Unpacked on Sunday: "Right. Let's all have a serious talk. I'm going to look directly into the camera here. I think it's good to see other faces down there."

He continued: "This is not a personal thing. It's not about Dean, it's about us just seeing different people down there. And I think we want to see different people on the show being featured. Some people unfortunately aren't getting [screen time]."

The presenter went on to name Barry as an example of someone he would want to see take part in a future trial. Ant named Melvin Odoom and Oti Mabuse as other examples during the discussion on the companion show just days ago.

I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! airs every night at 9pm on ITV1, STV and ITVX. Companion show I'm A Celebrity…Unpacked airs live on ITV2 directly afterwards.
