ITV's I'm A Celebrity star left covered in blood after trial, sparking concerns among fans

I'm A Celebrity's Dean McCullough ended up with a bloody injury as he bowed out of yet another Bushtucker trial.

The radio host got off to a strong start in his third consecutive trial, following his earlier efforts that earned just two stars across two challenges.

However, he panicked once again, shouting, " I'm a celebrity, get me out of here," when fish guts were poured over his head.

After his quick exit, fans observed what appeared to be "blood" on his face. While he shared the disappointing news that he had only secured four stars, viewers at home thought they spotted blood on his lip, reports the Mirror.

One user on Twitter commented: "Bless him for getting 4 stars tho. Also, has anyone noticed that Dean has cut his lip?" Another questioned: "Has Dean cut his lip?"

A third speculated about the source of the injury, asking: "Why is Dean's mouth bleeding? Spider bite?"

Dean McCullough was tasked with completing the third Bushtucker Trial in three days, with the Radio One DJ thrown into the Lethal Lab - but fans were quick to voice their concern for the star when they noticed "blood" on his face.

Fans think they spotted a new injury after Dean's Bushtucker trial

In the Bushtucker trial, Dean ventured into the jungle's scientific research facility. His first task was to wear gloves filled with green ants and trigger a chemical reaction, which he successfully completed, earning two stars for camp. He quickly accumulated four stars by bravely placing his head into boxes filled with creepy critters, but his confidence began to waver as the trial progressed.

He then panicked over the critters and other creatures surrounding his head in the boxes, despite pleading with Ant and Dec not to reveal what was being added. When the fish guts arrived, and after enduring minutes of Ant's expressive facial expressions, Dean decided to call it quits.

Ant was visibly frustrated when he abruptly quit the trial as soon as the fish guts appeared.

Moments before the trial began, Ant had sternly advised him to stay focused on the task, a lesson from his earlier challenges. Ant immediately confronted him, demanding to know what he was doing after previously urging a fearful Dean to examine the contents of the box to understand what he was up against.

Despite his poor total stars in each task, Dean's mum insists he is still a winner in her eyes. Speaking to the Mirror, Ann, 55, shared: “He is trying his best, and I think he’ll also be criticising his trials performance. The trials have been tough, and he’ll be beating himself up over it. He just needs to remember to do his best and have fun. I’m so proud of him. He is so loved, and we are all cheering him on.”

Ann also revealed the advice she gave him before he headed Down Under: “As his mother, I gave him special things to remember – how much he is loved, to remember where he’s from, to be himself, no cursing, and to do his best and have fun. And to do a Myleene Klass in the shower! Words can’t describe how proud I am.”
