After a poor 4-13 record, the Jacksonville Jaguars have decided to make a major change for their future. Head coach Doug Pederson has been relieved of his duties, while general manager Trent Baalke is set to be retained.
Ian Rapoport reported in the firing, stating, "GM Trent Baalke sticks in Jacksonville, while Doug Pederson is out. Some notes: -- The new coach will report directly to Shad Khan. -- With a stacked roster, plenty of young talent and a No. 5 overall pick, this could be a quick fix. -- #Jaguars are spearheading Stadium of the Future and other downtown improvements. Add that into the training center, and it's a sound place to work."
