James Gunn Teases How Peacemaker Season 2 Will Deal With DCU Canon

Deadline reports David Dastmalchian, Ashley Greene, and Samantha Cochran are attached to star in The Cure, a “horror thriller” from director Nancy Leopardi said to concern Ally Braun (Cohran), “an adopted 16-year-old with a mysterious illness who learns her bio-tech billionaire parents (Dastmalchian and Greene) are harvesting her blood for nefarious purposes.”

Deadline also reports Josh O’Connor will star alongside Emily Blunt, Colin Firth, Colman Domingo and Eve Hewson in Steven Spielberg’s currently untitled UFO movie.

The Life of Chuck

According to Mike Flanagan in a new Instagram post, The Life of Chuck contains a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it cameo from Rose the Hat’s headgear from Doctor Sleep.

Peacemaker

In conversation with IGN, James Gunn clarified most of what happened in the first season of Peacemaker will remain canon in his new DCU.

Now in Creature Commandos, you’ll hear them talk about things that happened in [The] Suicide Squad or Peacemaker. Well then, those things automatically become canon.

The truth is almost all of Peacemaker is canon with the exception of Justice League… which we will kind of deal with in the next season of Peacemaker.
