FORMER Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy could lose an estimated $1.6 million in earnings as he's dropped from DJ jobs following his arrest for domestic violence.
CMG Digital Media head Michael Schweiger, who's an expert in the celebrity business relations field and previously booked James as a DJ, told The U.S. Sun that the reality star's payday could evaporate in the wake of his arrest.
The expert said that the Bravo star has been a busy DJ, with "a lot of dates set up."
"Last time I booked him, he was getting around $5,000, so I would think he was commanding anywhere from $5,000 to $7,500."
Putting James at a rate of about $6,500, and estimating he had about three booked DJ dates a week, he would have been taking home around $1,014,500 a year spinning records alone.
The former Vanderpump Rules star already took a big financial hit when it was revealed earlier this month that the entire cast was out of their TV jobs in a serious show shakeup.
The New York Times reported earlier this year that cast members were getting approximately $35,000 an episode for season 11, with 18 episodes.
With those figures in mind, James is out an approximate $630,000 salary based on his final season on the show.
While the Bravo personality has scored other deals such as partnerships with Monster Energy Drink and Sugar Factory, the expert said the monetary value of those relationships is negligible.
Michael also added that should James lose any digital deals, those partnerships also don't bring in the big bucks since he only has 1 million followers and "guys don’t do great on digital," he claimed.
Beyond the financial hits James faces losing gigs and endorsements, he is also facing some hefty legal bills after his arrest.
"I would think his legal fees alone now will be around $50,000. Not cheap if you get arrested," Michael claimed.
Vanderpump Rules star James Kennedy’s girlfriend Ally Lewber gushed pair is ‘in a new era’ 1 day after his secret arrest
"He's not the first DJ to get a domestic violence charge but without the TV gig, his value is kinda shot."
JAMES' ARREST
The Bravo personality was booked early last Wednesday morning after a domestic incident incident at his home in Los Angeles.
Police had been called for a report of an argument between James and an unidentified woman.
A witness told police that they had seen the pair arguing and alleged that James grabbed the woman, however, police said they were unable to observe any visible injuries, according to TMZ.
It was later reported from police records that James "threw" the woman "to the ground."
The VPR star was arrested just before midnight and booked shortly after 1am on Wednesday.
James was booked on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge and formal charges are pending review by the Burbank City Attorney's office, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The reality star was released just before 3am after posting $20,000 bail.
James' longtime girlfriend Ally Lewber did not confirm she was the alleged victim, but did release a statement claiming she's "taking the time she needs right now."
"I deeply respect all the kindness and respect for my privacy during this time," she wrote on Instagram.
GIGS CANCELED
The normally booked and busy DJ had several upcoming gigs over the coming months, but a number of them have already been canceled following his arrest.
The star's gig at Komodo Lounge in Dallas on January 17 is off the table, multiple sources previously confirmed to The U.S. Sun.
Venue goers who had tickets for the event were told on Friday that their order had been canceled.
He was also reportedly removed from his Las Vegas residency at LIV Nightclub in the Fontainebleau hotel.
Jame's first gig since the arrest went on as scheduled on Saturday night at The Rave Eagles Club in Milwaukee.
SPEAKING OUT
James broke his silence on Tuesday, a week after his arrest.
“I am committed to making meaningful changes in my life,” he wrote on his Instagram.
“I am taking time to focus on my sobriety, personal growth, and being present for my loved ones.
"Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward with the incredible support system around me.”
Meanwhile, Ally was seen moving out of his LA home earlier this week.
The U.S. Sun has exclusively reported that Ally's family has been pressuring her to leave James following the incident.
