James Kennedy Dodges Domestic Violence Arrest Questions

Trigger Warning: This article contains a discussion of domestic violence charges.

James Kennedy isn’t answering questions from the media. At least not at the moment. The reality star dodged reporters as he made his way to his car and didn’t answer any questions about his recent domestic violence arrest.

The news cycle has certainly grown since his arrest, with or without James’ input. However, the Vanderpump Rules alum has opted to keep quiet save for a short update on his social media. It’s probably for the best.

On December 10, James and girlfriend Ally Lewber attended Kathy Hilton’s annual holiday party. After arriving home, an altercation took place and the Burbank area police were called.

The officers investigated and determined it was a domestic violence situation and arrested James for misdemeanor domestic violence charges. Things continued to happen after the arrest. James posted bail, Ally said the relationship wasn’t over, James lost some work, and then Ally moved out to an Airbnb where she would “be safe.”

For the most part, James has kept silent about the incident. A paparazzi tailed him asking about what happened on the night he was arrested. But the DJ stayed on his talking on his phone and ignored all the questions.

“How did things get so out of control that night?” the paparazzi asked as they followed James to his car. The VPR alum said nothing, just got into the car and headed off. “So no comment then,” the pap concluded.

Looks like the only place James was willing to comment was on his social media. He took to Instagram to say he was committed to making meaningful changes in his life including a focus on sobriety, personal growth, and being present for his loved ones.

“Navigating challenging moments is not easy, but I am determined to learn, grow, and move forward,” he concluded.

The National Domestic Violence Hotline can be accessed via the nationwide number 1−800−799−SAFE(7233) or TTY 1−800−787−3224 or (206) 518-9361 (Video Phone Only for Deaf Callers). The Hotline provides service referrals to agencies in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
