James Martin has been on screens for almost 30 years and currently fronts his beloved cooking show, Saturday Morning.
The TV chef recently joined Kaye Adams on her BBC Radio Scotland show to discuss his upcoming tour.
During the interview, the 52-year-old unveiled the hidden difficulties he encounters behind the scenes.
Kaye reflected on her appearance on his ITV show and revealed she was “fascinated” by his talent for cooking while entertaining celebrity guests and other chefs, comparing it to “a choreography.”
James chuckled as he responded: “I’m watching you do you your thing while I’m listening to music play and you’re like a conductor. I can’t do what you do and I certainly can’t when I’ve been on Loose Women with you as well.”

He continued: “I certainly admire anyone who’s able to do that, weirdly I can cook and talk at the same time but presenting I still find really difficult.
“I’m severely dyslexic so reading anything off an autocue is really hard work, so if I’m allowed to cook and chat that’s where I feel at home.”
Earlier this year, James shocked fans by declaring, “It’s a wonder I’m still alive,” after unveiling his “really bad” habit of consuming a “big can” of Red Bull and Twix daily.
This came after he underwent treatment for facial cancer and would be taking a break to recover.

At the time, James took to X and told fans said he had to have surgery after being initially diagnosed in 2018, and then it returned on “several occasions”.
Addressing his diagnosis, he added: “On top of this I was then diagnosed with cancer on my face and I had to have surgery, which I couldn't do until two days before Christmas when we had finished filming.
"Since then it has returned on several occasions and I have to have regular treatments."
