Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs doesn’t have public support following his September 2024 arrest. Combs pleaded not guilty to charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He heads to trial in May 2025. Meanwhile, outsiders are trying to figure out which other celebrities are possibly involved in the case. Here’s what to know about Jamie Foxx’s possible involvement after the actor said he once filmed a party thrown by Combs.
Jamie Foxx allegedly filmed one of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ past parties
Sean “Diddy” Combs was known for his lavish parties. Hollywood A-listers and music stars clamored for an invite, as Combs’ parties were known as the biggest and wildest bashes around. Combs’ parties often started in the evening and lasted until 7 a.m., though famous folks knew that the parties that began at night were not the same types of parties that went into the morning. The lawsuits against Combs allege that he drugged, coerced, and filmed people during “freak-offs” — illicit sex parties lasting days.
“For six or seven years, it was just parties, parties, parties,” a neighbor of Combs told the BBC. The neighbor said she saw “lost” women “coming out and sitting down on the street; they didn’t know where they were.”
Jamie Foxx had a close friendship with Combs. According to RadarOnline, Foxx revealed that he attended Combs’ “flavor parties” and filmed what went down with a camcorder. In light of this news, federal agents are allegedly considering reaching out to Foxx. They want to review Foxx’s footage.
“I started following him,” Foxx claimed of Combs in a video. “So, I followed him the whole time. I remember watching Puff at the Beverly Hills Hotel. I’m filming this, and it’s a pool party, and it’s ridiculous.”
Videographer Choke No Joke says the ‘Ray’ star said he called the FBI on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
It’s unclear where Jamie Foxx and Sean “Diddy” Combs stand after Combs’ arrest. While Foxx and Combs had a close friendship, videographer Choke No Joke says Combs caused Foxx’s mysterious hospitalization in 2023. Foxx and Combs’ friendship allegedly soured.
“They told Jamie to chill. He didn’t chill, and allegedly Diddy and his security beat Jamie’s a**, and that’s why Jamie was in the hospital, allegedly,” Choke No Joke said in an interview with Comedy Hype. The videographer noted there was another rumor that Foxx took a bad pill from Combs.
Choke No Joke also noted that during Foxx’s taping of his show, What Had Happened Was, Foxx said he called the FBI on Combs.
“Jamie Foxx states in this — spoiler alert — Jamie Foxx states in the special that Diddy was responsible for what happened to him and he is the one that called the FBI on him,” Choke No Joke continued. “I don’t think he was joking.”
Combs’ reps told AllHipHop that Choke No Joke and Foxx’s claims were “outlandish, ridiculous, and baseless.”
The hip-hop mogul once talked about partying with Jamie Foxx and Ashton Kutcher
Sean “Diddy” Combs and Jamie Foxx may have had a falling out over the past decade. However, Combs once considered Foxx a very close friend. The hip-hop mogul talked about how he, Foxx, and Kutcher frequently hung out and went clubbing together.
“I first met Ashton Kutcher when we were both on MTV. He was doing Punk’d, and I was doing Making the Band. For a while, with Jamie Foxx, we were a rat pack, hanging out, going to clubs,” Combs told TIME in 2010. “I remember one night he was with Demi [Moore], maybe for the first time, and a couple of weeks later he called to tell me he was in love. That was the end of our clubbing.”
