It's been over a year since comedian Jamie Foxx was rushed to hospital over a mystery illness that left him in a serious condition for weeks.
And while he has been spotted out and about since he was given the all clear by medical professionals, the actor and comedian, 56, has reportedly, finally addressed rumours that Sean 'Diddy' Combs was the one to hospitalise him. The star had been filming his upcoming Netflix special titled What Had Happened Was and according to reports, three people who were there during the filming, claimed that he discussed if P. Diddy was to blame.
Diddy is currently being held at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) following his arrest in September. He faces federal charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. He "categorically denies" the allegations, a spokesperson for Diddy has said.
However, there are varying accounts about what Jamie Foxx actually said. Two members of the audience told Page Six that Jamie alleged Sean Combs was the one to cause his medical emergency and Jamie "is the one who called the FBI on [Combs]." Choke No Joke, a producer and director said he attended the filming of Foxx's upcoming Netflix special.
Recalling the night, he claimed Jamie said: "Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs]." It currently remains unclear as to whether Jamie's comments were a joke with the audience and whether they will appear in the final edit of the programme.
But according to DailyMail.com, a source close to the rapper, adamantly denied the claims made by the two sources who spoke to Page Six. Rumours that the Bad Boy Records executive was involved in causing Jamie's illness started to circulate weeks after he was taken to hospital.
And now, a celebrity security guard, known as Big Homie claimed that Jamie alleged it was the rapper who poisoned him. His claims were made to Cam Capone News He said: "[Combs] poisoned Jamie Foxx, and Jamie Foxx reported him to the FBI because of it… Jamie Foxx reported this man to the FBI because of this."

A Videographer, who goes by the name of Choke No Joke, gave the same account independent of Big Homie. He said he attended two of the three shows in Atlanta in October.
In an interview on Comedy Hype, he reportedly said: "Jamie has a special coming out on Netflix called 'What Had Happened Was; and I went to the taping of it. It was three days taping. I went to the first show I went to the last show." And he too claimed Jamie said while filming that "Diddy was responsible for what happened to him, and [Foxx] is the one who called the FBI on [Combs]."
When asked if the comments were intended to be a joke, he said: "I don't think he was joking. Y'all can determine was he joking or not when you see the show, cause to me — I'm a new comedian, right? … I know when somebody's setting up a punchline, and I know when you're serious."
He added: "After [Foxx] said, 'Diddy did something to me,' he said, 'And I'm the one who called the feds on him." He then went on to add: "He disappeared, right? He out now, soon as Puff went to jail, right? We see him at the game with [Dallas Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones, right?… We haven’t seen him. As soon as Puff went to jail, [Foxx] was at the goddamn Dallas football game, right? And now he just went and shot his special. And who’s the special strongly based around? Diddy."
Meanwhile, Dennis L.A. White, a third person to attend the shows, told Page Six he went to the second and third tapings of the show - and he remembers things differently. He claimed that Jamie said something similar to "People keep asking me if Diddy was responsible. He was not responsible. If he was, I would've been dead." He also revealed that he did not recall the comedian talking about the FBI but remembers him discussing the rapper and making jokes about the baby oil, found in his property.
Soon after filming, Jamie shared two pictures from the stage, which included one of him wiping away tears. He then posted a message on Instagram that read: "God is good…. As I post these pictures, my heart and my soul is filled with nothing but pure joy…on October 3 fourth and fifth I had an opportunity to tell my side of the story and there was no better place than Atlanta Georgia."
He continued: "I have to thank you Atlanta you showed up and you showed out, I haven’t been on stage in 18 years but I needed the stage and I needed an audience that was made up of nothing but pure love and that’s what you were.
When people ask me is this a stand up comedy show I say no it’s an artistic explanation. Of some thing that went terribly wrong, but thanks to the great people in Atlanta especially piedmont hospital you enabled me to come back and be on stage and do what I love to do the most… #nobaddays as my guy James would say #secondchance."
