JASON SUED
But the joy didn’t last long, as Jason and company Madison Holding, LLC were sued on September 10, 2024, for fraud, negligence, breach of contract, and breach of warranties.
Plaintiff Mark Thompson claimed Jason was a contractor on a home he purchased and worked without a valid license.
The plaintiff claims 22 items were required to be repaired within 30 days but remain unfixed 11 months later.
The items included the fact that the grout in the master bathroom was not repaired, a collapsed rod was in the master bathroom closet, there were roof issues, and more.
The court papers claim, “In late May 2024, the contractor [Jason] rather than continuing with the needed repairs, suggested he simply pay for them to be done by someone else.
“However, in recent months, Madison Holding and the contractor have gone silent on addressing these issues.”
Jason responded to the lawsuit, “At no time did Defendant Jason Duggar execute any contracts with the Plaintiff. Jason Duggar was not the Seller, nor the Buyer in this matter.
“Jason Duggar does not work as a contractor under his own name, but under a business he is a member of, known as Build Master Construction.
“Jason Duggar did not sell the property, did not purchase the property, nor did he personally, or through his business known as Build Master Construction enter into a buy/sell agreement with Plaintiff.”
He requested the case against him be dismissed.
The case remains ongoing.
