Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright’s baby boy is three years old already!

In honor of Cruz’s third birthday on December 19, The Valley star shared an Instagram photo carousel of his boy.

“I’ve made a lot of mistakes but you are by far my biggest accomplishment son nothing in life makes me happier and want to be better person for you,” Taylor wrote in his post. “You are the best thing that has ever happened to your mother and I. We love you to the moon Cruzy.” Jax added a heart and a dinosaur emoji to his post for extra emphasis.

Jax Taylor never expected he and Brittany Cartwright would divorce

Even though they’d previously insisted they didn’t “believe in divorce,” Brittany filed papers on August 27. At the time, she requested primary legal and physical custody of their only child, Cruz. Both Jax and Britt expressed their wish to remain amicable as parents for the sake of their son’s well-being.

“This step has been a long time coming and something Brittany knew she had to do for the best interest of herself and her son, in order to move forward and put a stop to this tumultuous cycle they’ve been living in,” a source told People back in August.

“Jax is feeling mixed emotions,” the insider added. “He knows this is ultimately the right decision but is sad that things ended up the way they have. It’s an emotional month for him, and he’s trying to stay strong for his son.”

Jax Taylor is prioritizing cooperative parenting for son Cruz’s sake

As they work through the legal process, Jax and Britt continue to make peaceful co-parenting their priority. They both want what’s best for their son.

“Their main priority is getting to a place of being amicable co-parents for their son,” the source added.

In September, Brittany told People that the couple still have some work to do when it comes to their co-parenting relationship. “He’s a great dad. Great dad, terrible husband,” the Vanderpump Rules alum said at the time. “I’m not ever going to take Cruz away from him. We will always put Cruz first, and we are going to work towards a healthy co-parenting relationship.”

“It’s going to take some time,” Britt continued. “Still, things are very raw between us. But for the most part, I do know if I needed something, if Cruz needed something, I could call him and he would be there for us.

The Valley is now streaming on Peacock.
