Jax Taylor Exposes Emotional Phone Calls With Jesse Lally: ‘He Just Cries’

The Valley’s Jax Taylor and Jesse Lally have been living almost parallel lives and are lending each other support.

Both Jax and Jesse are dads of one in the thick of uncoupling from their respective wives, Brittany Cartwright and Michelle Lally. Jax recently gave some insight into the nature of the conversations he and Jesse have had lately. According to Jax, Jesse is still pretty emotional, often shedding tears while they’re on the phone.

Jax Taylor on Jesse Lally: “I know the divorce is really wearing on him”

Season 2 of The Valley was filmed over the summer and is in post-production. Jax shared some of what viewers can expect when the show returns on the November 14 episode of Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast. Jax began by talking about his and Brittany’s separation, which then led him to compare it to Jesse and Michelle’s divorce.

Jesse and Michelle were married for five years before announcing their separation in March of this year, right before Season 1 of The Valley premiered. Michelle filed for divorce from Jesse shortly after, citing their date of separation as October 16, 2023. They’ve been attempting to co-parent their four-year-old daughter, Isabella.

Jax says that Jesse has been showing him his “vulnerable side” by sharing his tough emotional experiences.

“I know the divorce is really wearing on him. Like, he calls me and, you know, just cries,” Jax began.

Note to selves: don’t call Jax crying unless you want the world to know. Michelle has moved on with Aaron Nosler. Though Jesse’s still having a hard time with his divorce, he’s also found romance with a new girlfriend, Lacey Nicole. According to Jax, Lacey’s changed Jesse for the better.

Jax shared, “In that marriage, he was a different person. Jesse is hardheaded – he’s from Boston. He’s just one of those guys. But he’s a lot different now. He’s got a new girlfriend. I think she brings out the best of him.”

Jax added that he “really like[s] this new Jesse.” Now, no one hold your breath for a new Jax!

Season 2 of The Valley is expected to return in spring 2025. Season 1 streams on Peacock.
