Black Friday is the perfect time to add to your Lego collection, with many retailers offering fabulous discounts on a variety of sets. Among Amazon's offerings is a lovely £65 price reduction on one of its iconic Exclusive sets - The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell.

Usually retailing at £429.99, the online giant is now offering the huge 6,167-piece build for £364.99. This is the cheapest price around, with the set costing the full price of £429.99 on the Lego website.

Join the Fellowship of the Ring as they arrive in Rivendell for the Council of Elrond, surrounded by beautiful buildings, trees and more. The model includes 15 minifigures, including legendary characters such as Frodo, Bilbo Baggins, Sam, Boromir, Gimli, Aragorn, Legolas, Gandalf the Grey and more.

Once you've completed building the set, you can seat the figures around the stone on which the One Ring is placed in the Council of Elrond. Explore familiar interiors, such as Frodo's bedroom and Elrond's cluttered study, and uncover magical details and references from the film trilogy. This includes the Shards of Narsil, and paintings and statues from Middle-earth history.

That's not all, as you can recreate iconic scenes with the Elven gazebo and relive the moment the Fellowship starts their journey over the river via the brick-built bridge. Many fans have already snapped up the Lego Icons The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell set, with it earning an overall rating of 4.6 out of five.

One thrilled buyer commented: "Arguably Lego's best set yet. We bought it for our son who is 12 years old and an avid builder. He found the building process easy and was impressed with the new building techniques he learned. It came with 6000+ pieces and three thick manuals. It took him approximately two weeks to finish the build. It looks amazing. The detail is stunning. It is well worth the money."

A second wrote: "Bought on Prime Day for an absolute bargain. Would still pay full price as there's so much to do on this set - there are 49 bags. My son is currently on bag 19 and it looks amazing so far."

"This set is amazing," said another satisfied customer. "Such a fantastic item for a fan of the Lord of the Rings. There is so much detail in this set, it really manages to reflect the elegance of the film set. Even the roof is amazing.

"Another big bonus is you get 15 mini figures - all the main characters are there. Really enjoyable to build. Anyone who loves Lego and the Lord of the Rings is going to love this."

Unfortunately a few shoppers noted the poor packaging the Rivendell set arrives in, with one explaining: "Product turned up in the Lego box it comes in, no extra packaging, so the box was damaged and scratched. Not good for the collectors, please package better next time."
