Jay-Z was a proud husband as his wife and music icon Beyoncé took home the prize for Best Country Album at the Grammy Awards 2025.
When Taylor Swift announced her name, Beyoncé and her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, looked shocked while Jay-Z was quick to stand up and clap for his wife. As she looked around in confusion, he approached her to hug her and whisper in her ear, possibly about fixing the underwiring of her dress as she was soon seen swiftly adjusting her outfit.
Beyoncé looked out of this world in a form-fitting gold dress with white Western stitching all over. She added sequined opera gloves and gold Lorraine Schwartz jewellery to complete the stunning look. The neckline of the custom Schiaparelli gown dipped low and featured a keyhole cutout with a pearl accessory dangling in the middle.
In some pictures of her throughout the night, the underwiring of her dress was sticking out while in other snaps, it was perfectly hidden. During the special night, Beyoncé also took home the award for Best Album of the Year, which delighted fans who have been waiting for the news for years.
It marks her first ever album win at the awards and fans were quick to react on social media. One user wrote: "Finally, Beyonce wins Album of the Year. Beyonce didn’t forget to thank Jay Z before she went on stage to accept the award - she wouldn’t have won it if he hadn’t spoken out against the fact that she gets constantly ignored over & over again. Congrats Beyonce. Well deserved!"
Another added: "The Queen claimed her throne," while a third said: "Finally and well deserved #AlbumOfTheYear for Beyonce. #GRAMMYs". Queen Bey also took home the award for best country duo/group performance for her song, II Most Wanted, with Miley Cyrus.
When she won Best Country Album, the Texas Hold' Em singer gave an inspirational speech about 'staying persistent'. "Wow I really was not expecting this," the 43-year-old said. "I want to thank God, oh my God, that I'm able to still do what I love after so many years."
An emotional Jay watched on as she continued: "I'd like to thank all of the incredible country artists that accepted this album. We worked so hard on it. I think sometimes genre is a code word to keep us in our place as artists. And I just want to encourage people to do what they're passionate about, and to say, 'Stay persistent.'"
