Jennifer Aniston and Chrissy Teigen: all the celebrity homes at risk from LA wildfires

3 hours ago 1

Devastating wildfires have ripped through LA this week, totally destroying a large number of celebrities' homes in the city, including the likes of Mark Owen , Paris Hilton, Antony Hopkins and more.

Mass evacuations have seen thousands of people forced to leave their homes behind in recent days, and over a 1000 buildings and structures have been totally destroyed – with a number of people reported to have tragically lost their lives already. Other famous faces have been forced to evacuate their homes and remain in limbo, waiting nervously to learn whether or not their properties will still be standing when they return.

Here, Mirror Online takes a look at the stars whose homes are in danger of destruction due to the wildfires.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

This week, sources close to the Sussexes said they are ready to go into "crisis mode" if they need to evacuate should the fires start to threaten their home.

Harry and Meghan live in Montecito, California, with fires burning just 60 miles away in Malibu. They addressed the wildfires in a statement this week, saying: ”In the last few days, wildfires in Southern California have raged through neighborhoods and devastated families, homes, schools, medical care centers, and so much more – affecting tens of thousands from all walks of life. A state of emergency has been issued. If you feel compelled to help, here are some resources and ideas.”

They continued: ”If a friend, loved one, or pet has to evacuate and you are able to offer them a safe haven in your home, please do. And be sure to check in with any disabled or elderly neighbors to see if they need help evacuating. Some families and people have been left with nothing. Please consider donating clothing, children’s toys & clothing, and other essentials. The American Red Cross is on the ground helping those in need.”

Mark Hamill

The 73-year-old Star Wars icon confirmed this week that he has evacuated his Malibu home with his wife and their dog. Mark told his fans that they left their home “last minute” and by then there were “small fires on both sides” of the Pacific Coast Highway. He arrived at his daughter’s home in Hollywood at 8.15pm.

Malibu was at risk of being consumed by flames, with many homes just west of the affluent area in the equally upmarket enclave of Pacific Palisades being totally destroyed.

Steve Guttenberg

The actor and writer has lived in the Pacific Palisades for 30 years and, despite his home being at risk of destruction, Steve personally joined in the fight against the flames and was seen assisting firefighters tackling blazes.

Of his incredible show of bravery, he told Entertainment Weekly: “In a crisis, always remember that you are, you’re part of a community and if you’re able-bodied, you’ve got to help. You’ve got to help. You can’t walk by somebody when they need something. You just can’t walk by them. You have to help them.”

He went on: “There are a lot of people who need help. Some people are so scared. Some people are in wheelchairs, some people are old or infirm, and you need to help them, and you can’t just walk by.”

A-lister Bradley owns a stunning 3,335-square-foot property in the wealthy Pacific Palisades area, according to Architectural Digest. He picked up the pad in 2009 for $4.7 million and the three-bathroom, three-bedroom home is where he and his then-partner Irina Shayk welcomed their daughter in 2017. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson

According to MailOnline , Tom and his wife Rita reside in an enormous mansion in Pacific Palisades worth an eye-watering $26million.

The A-list couple, who have been together for 36 years, bought the 1.5 acre home in 2010 but the property was built in 1996. It boasts five bathrooms, four bedrooms, has a massive pool and home cinema and sprawls across a whopping 14,513 square feet. Their home is also thought to be safe at the time of writing.
